Following on from the instant turn on thread, what're your turn offs? Mine are:

Smokers
Dirty nails
Bad teeth
Black, shiny, pointy shoes with jeans (or slip ons)

DougalandFlorence · 22/12/2020 20:41

@ths1

Strangely other posters' turn offs of sports loving, arrogant, slightly posh men are definitely my weakness...
Yes! Basically Rupert Cambell-Black Grin
TheTurnOfTheScrew · 22/12/2020 20:52

mansplaining
hair removal - I like both hairy and less hairy bodies, but hair removal is a no-no
RP accents
Banter
shoes without socks - this one killed a huge (innocent) crush for me stone-dead over the summer.

GreenlandTheMovie · 22/12/2020 20:55

GypsyWanderer · 22/12/2020 21:29

Cockiness and lack of body hair! I don’t like the smooth chest thing.

Also jogging bottoms unless for lounge wear or exercise!

Tory
Man child

Craftycorvid · 22/12/2020 21:48

Waves to Zoinks and compares tatts, piercings and vegetarian ways Grin

My ‘nos’ are:
Any sort of bigoted view
Mansplaining
Poor personal hygiene

I’m less bothered about dress sense, though, as long as what’s being worn is clean. BUT slogan tees (especially the ‘funny’ ones) are a big turn-off.

@Closetbeanmuncher a gold star lesbian is a women whose never slept or been in a relationship with a man but uses it as a basis to discriminate/hate on bisexuals or other women who may have come out later in life. They generally seem to have a superiority complex. Its a whole thing within the community (in my area at least)

Zoinksalot · 22/12/2020 23:39

@Craftycorvid

Waving back ! Gotta represent aha Grin

PandemicPavolova · 22/12/2020 23:43

For me it's more physical mannerisms, eg I remember a school dad at a party... The way he stood with legs apart, slightly rocking and arms folded, looked so incredibly Cocky..

Closetbeanmuncher · 22/12/2020 23:49

I see, thanks for enlightening me zoinks Grin

Guineapigbridge · 23/12/2020 00:12

These are reasons for instant dismissal, not turn-offs:
Never travelled, still lives in home town
Excessive love of televised sports or a 'team'.
Has a special room or set up for gaming that suggests a lot of time is spent on it
History of porn use or prostitute use
Claggy hair e.g. dreadlocks or hair with sticky product in it.
Poor pronunciation, e.g. somefink
Girly writing
A hairdresser's car e.g a Yaris
Bad breath

Shopaholic100 · 23/12/2020 00:23
  • Swearing and vulgar language
  • Back biting tendencies
  • Smoking
  • Long hair
  • Body odour/bad breath
  • Bad treatment of others
  • Menace on the road/excessive use of the horn
  • People who do things to show others e.g expensive presents
