Beef Stroganoff, rice or pasta?

Hi Everyone, turns out myself and my partner have strong opposing views on which carb should be served with a Beef Stroganoff. I firmly believe it should be rice, but he think it should be pasta. I thought a quick poll of the Mumsnet collective would resolve the issue.

YANBU Rice is the way to go, who the fuck would have pasta with it?!

Potatoes mashed with garlic butter and parsley, baked in the oven, possibly with cheese on top.

Failing that, noodles - such as Spätzle

Definitely not in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Nothing should be served in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Unless it's gravy, and then as a starter.
