I probably ABU but I have a very difficult 3 month old baby so I feel justified to resent the world.

But what's WITH grownups wearing huge fluffy fleeces with pawprints, wolf scenes or ickle kittens printed/embroidered all over them? Urgh.

You have obviously never seen Ideal World shopping channel, which selld those nasty fleeces like hotcakes! They have wolves, pandas, horses galloping through the surf with manes flying...and they sell out everytime!

ChubbyScotsBurd · 23/10/2007 17:21

:sigh: I meant animals obviously. Shudder.

YANBU with regard to those fleeces.

But I reserve my right to wear a woolly with sheep on it while out fell walking.

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 17:30

this offends you?

[[http://www.thebigzoo.com/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=250 I can see why- who wears these?]

I find adults in Disney clothes alarming

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 17:30

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 17:30

DS has the World of animals T-shirt on that page! But he's had it since he was 13 & only wears it in bed now.

tigerschick · 23/10/2007 17:46

... Not in your wardrobe then?
Can't imagine why not

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 17:47

farking hell!!!

Blu · 23/10/2007 17:50

How can a nation have made such a mistake, en masse?

hifi · 23/10/2007 17:51

chubby, yabu fgs these people are keeping little old ladies in knitting jobs

catsmother · 23/10/2007 17:51

I agree with Tiredmama. The very worst thing IMO, is nighties and pyjamas with Winnie the Pooh etc on them which are aimed at "adult" women. You still see these alarmingly often, so someone must be buying them.

southeastastra · 23/10/2007 17:52

old hippies seem to like the wolfie ones don't they

pointydog · 23/10/2007 17:54

YANBU

Some sort of immaturity, but not a good one

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 17:56

yes- men with long white hair and beards love the wolf ones.

I was amazed at the adults becoming hysterical at the selection of Disney clothes available in florida. Grown men with Donald Duck emblazened across the chest is not a good look.

DarthVader · 23/10/2007 17:58

what do you wear instead chubby?

tiredemma · 23/10/2007 18:00

would you date a man wearing this?

beeper · 23/10/2007 18:03

Bet you would if it was Jonny Depp inside it.

pointydog · 23/10/2007 18:06

no I would not, emma, no I would not.

ChubbyScotsBurd · 23/10/2007 19:17

DarthVader, I wear normal clothes. I promise you.

For example, today I saw a woman wearing a perfectly inoffensive red sweatshirt rendered despicable by a large 'sheepdog and puppies playing in a field' motif. :boak:

I would wear a red sweatshirt, but not one with a sodding Border Fine Arts picture on it. I mean, come on.

OP posts:
pointydog · 23/10/2007 19:22

darth, is it hard for you to imagine what someone could wear apart from animal motif-ed fleeces?

ScottishMummy · 23/10/2007 19:25

lol i always think of mark darcy (colin firth) in bridget jones reindeer jumper

"Look at honkin jumper its rank man"

ChubbyScotsBurd · 23/10/2007 19:27

pointy! I thought here on Mumsnet we were all far too middleclass to even consider such garb.

OP posts:
talulasmum · 23/10/2007 19:27

maybe they got them as presents, and feel obliged to wear them now & again.

i dont take much notice of what people are wearing tbh.
