To think 7.45am is too early to ring someone's doorbell (even if you are delivering a package)

I think it is but couriers keep doing it when delivering packages....I think 7.45 is fine for posting something through the letterbox but I wouldn't ring someone up at this time of the morning, he woke my ds up....

Yes! YABU

At least you are in!!!

What time do you get up?

MarsLady · 23/10/2007 11:51

Lucky you. Mine wait for me to have the only lie-in of the year/month/week and that's the day they ring before God gets up. Never on a "up and at 'em" day.... oh no! They save them for when the DTs are sleeping in, the big kids are sleeping in and I for the first time in forever am sleeping in! Then not only does he knock but he rings and rings the bell! Sigh............

I should be so lucky that he wait till 7.45am sob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dh works for DHL and he starts work at 7am-8pm, he has a van full of parcels to deliver in that time, he has to figure out the shortest route so what time your parcel gets delivered depends on where your house is on the route. He got a bollixing for going to someone's house at 1pm. He knocked the door and the woman went mad, shouting at him he woke her up! She was a nurse on night shift and she said he should have knew that!? WTF!

PointTaken · 23/10/2007 12:07

I'd just be grateful postie rings the doorbell! Most of the time, I find little 'I called but you weren't in' note through my door and no doorbell rung, even though I've been in.

sparklygothkat · 23/10/2007 14:24

lol the bloke that delivered my parcel this morning (and woke me up!!) saw me in my nightshirt, with messy hair, and when I looked down I saw my breasts had leaked milk too

tori32 · 23/10/2007 14:29

I'd rather have my doorbell rang at that time than have the inconvenience of having to trek to the post office to collect it. At least you can go back to bed if you like.
