I have inflammatory bowel disease. Bleed on and off. Been found to have mild inflammation.

Just been to the toilet and the bowl was covered in blood and this was the loo roll. Is this something I should urgently get checked out or wait until the morning? Feel okay in myself, been very fatigued though as working a lot.

Wouldn’t usually come here to ask but baby is asleep upstairs and just wanted some opinions,

I would wait until the morning but absolutely no longer. You will have to show the photo to whoever you see, the blood clot looks a bit concerning.

Do you the blood loss meets the criteria on the checklist for A and E? If there was other clots in the toilet bowl I would definitely say yes

If you decide not to go to A and E this evening, i would call 111 just to be on the safe side.

I would be concerned with the blood clot, have you passed any before that you've noticed? IBD can be the cause of these sometimes.

The fact that it is bright red suggests a new bleed- I'd call your docs tomorrow but if you you start getting any discomfort around your abdomen, fever or dizziness then please do get to A&E tonight.

Do you have dry skin, or have trouble peeing at all?
Is the tiredness new for you?

I have zero medical knowledge OP, but I'd do as pp suggested and ring 111, if they don't have a clear answer and try to suggest you go into A&E I'd ask if they can get the on duty nurse to ring you back to discuss?

I have called and I think they’re sending an ambulance out. I told them my partner drives but they said not to go anywhere yet. I have abdominal pain and I slept for 17 hours yesterday. I feel quite cold too. I’ve had blood clots in the past but not the feelings accompanying it

Last year this week in fact I nearly died from internal bleeding due to Heliobacter Pylori. Eight blood transfusions later I obviously survived but it was a close call. Please don't leave this OP seek help from medical professionals and not Mumsnet.

Hope your ok! Always best to seek medical care rather than asking random people on here. You could accidentally cut off an arm and some people on here would advise you to wait until tomorrow!
