The box room that is so small you can't get anything else in it once a single bed is in there.

Sockets in bizarre places where you never need them and not in places that you do need them leading to extension leads everywhere.

The house has been in a mobile phone blackspot in the 13 years I've been here. The village has expanded massively with new houses but I still can't get a signal without a booster.

None of the rooms are perfectly square meaning that tiles never fit squarely, doors don't hang properly without having loads planed off etc. The house just seems to have been thrown together on the last Friday before Christmas.

Our bedroom window doesn't open fully due to poorly fitted fascia meaning it's not only a fire risk but is sweltering in summer.

Washing machine is in a cupboard (like an airing cupboard) that doesn’t have a plug socket so we have to run an extension cable into the kitchen -washing machine came with the house and we haven’t moved it but surely it must have annoyed the previous residents too?!

Bathroom is freezing cold and in order to get the shower to warm up we have to run the hot bath tap.

One wall over the stairs has textured wallpaper. I hate textured wallpaper but I hate even more that it’s just the one wall!

Also very creaky downstairs (crap flooring) and thin walls so can hear neighbours both sides.

Oh, and not a straight line or right angle in the place. Not in the main Victorian part of the house, nor even in the extension which I think was built in the 1980s. All the walls and floors are wonky.
