To blame you all if my Chinese takeaway is ruined?

Have just ordered our dinner, and included the salt and chilli chips for the first time ever, purely based on all the threads that rave about them

I had always assumed that they were just on the menu to satisfy the
unadventurous diners, along with omelette.
However I was reading old threads few weeks ago, and lots said otherwise.
I've been waiting for our takeaway night to test it, and now here we are.

Chinese food fans, how do you rate these chips? Are they really different to chippy chips? How so?

Well we actually get the salt and chili shredded chicken to share between us to go with our mains. It is amazing.

Would they go well in a butty?

I’ve never had chips from the Chinese, I’m obviously missing something!

Love them. Not often we get a chinese but if we do we ALWAYS get them. They even do salt and pepper munchie boxes where we stay

Ohh I like them too but only from one of the two local chippy that sell them , the other ones are always way to salty .

With a dip like curry sauce or seeet and sour. Or my favourite black bean sauce.

Op has seen them, smelt them snd ate them. There is no pic lol.

Chips + spice + bread what's not to love ! Yes they go well on a buttie.
My local also does S&P chicken wings

How funny, I am about to do the same having read about them on here. Ours are described as salt and hot pepper chips though. I’m newly veggie so am opting for a veg curry on the side... unless people have better idea?

@doctorhamster , yes ( or at least I do ) chips ,+ small bits of usually green pepper + spring or ordinary onions + chillis ( not chilli sauce ) and salt.

We had these last weekend with crispy duck and prawn crackers...divine at the time but the secret ingredient is DEFINITELY MSG!!

I did the same last night and they were delicious!! Felt so wrong ordering them though!!

We’ve just had a Chinese so I’m currently on the gaviscon! We didn’t have any chips but ordered a salt and chilli king prawn, it was delicious!

My 11 year old always orders salt and pepper chicken with salt and pepper chips and curry sauce 😂
