I have seen many times on social media, over the past week, people saying there is something else going on and the Covid rules are for a different reason entirely.
I just wondered if anyone truly believes the government have a different agenda for extending lockdown??

@goingtosnow But if we won’t own anything, where will we live etc? Surely the governments can’t just carry this out without our consent?

PizzaForOne · 29/11/2020 09:47

It's the great reset, the new world order designed to put more and more power into the hands of big corporates - pharma, banks, retailers. As that annoying man on the asda (Walmart owned, one of largest retailers in the world) advert said in an unclear and annoying accent this year, "its the pocket tap of our time". Walmart will be tapping their pockets this year that's for sure!

Well they've carried out most things this year without our consent. What makes you think they won't ?

Nomoreboobs · 29/11/2020 09:53

@yawnsvillex True, but take our homes off us? And we’ll live where exactly? They can’t just change our whole lives. Is this worldwide? The scale of undertaking would be huge though

I don't really think some sort of gestapo will come and take our stuff.
I think incentives, taxation on assets, making ownership more difficult etc.
A bit like it's going right now for petrol and diesel cars - taxes raised to levels that are just unaffordable to most.
Also will help if a lot of people are in financial hardship and debt. Bearing in mind a lot of us don't actually own our house now - the bank does.

goingtosnow · 29/11/2020 09:58

@yawnsvillex True, but take our homes off us? And we’ll live where exactly?

We will rent.

whiterabbitsweets · 29/11/2020 09:58

IMO there is no conspiracy other than the fact that the government have no idea how to handle the virus. If they lifted lockdown then what would they do to show the public that they have a grip of the situation?

Track and trace has been a disaster.
PPE has been a disaster.
Care homes have been a disaster.
Any attempt to bolster the NHS has been a disaster.

It's cost us billions, not to mention the loss of millions due to incompetence (PPE middle men fees and buying things that just don't work etc).

All because Boris, like Trump, failed to take the virus seriously from the outset. This is despite countries like South Korea, Japan, NZ and OZ etc. reacting and managing the situation like professionals should.

Arrogance, incompetence. Sadly our government just don't have the ability to manage this crisis and it's costing us almost everything.

www.channel4.com/news/how-south-korea-became-the-model-for-beating-the-coronavirus

The irony is, the west is typically against the intrusive measures that countries like South Korea use. However, I would bet that we would all happily do the same, if it meant that the utter crap show we're experiencing today would go away. I think the lockdown is a far greater impingement on our rights than allowing the government to hold some personal data.

yawnsvillex · 29/11/2020 09:58

@goingtosnow is right .... it will be "masked"'like that @Nomoreboobs

Nomoreboobs · 29/11/2020 10:00

@goingtosnow We’ll rent the house we’re in? (If we own a house) how does that benefit people? What will we do if we can’t afford an electric car? This sounds odd

yawnsvillex · 29/11/2020 10:00

@goingtosnow that wasn't me who quoted that Grin

yawnsvillex · 29/11/2020 10:01

@Nomoreboobs you'll be fucked. Like most of the businesses will be

cardswapping · 29/11/2020 10:03

Nah, it was all started by a big diet company who wanted us to comfort eat over lockdown so they can sell us diet shakes.

Or started by Zoom and the other techs to increase their market share all in one go in case we all turned into tech free eco warriors under the malign influence of Greta.

I think I like conspiracy 2 best.

Nomoreboobs · 29/11/2020 10:06

@goingtosnow What’s the sim of this? For what reason, is it dressed up under the guise of climate change, will it be worldwide

Nomoreboobs · 29/11/2020 10:08

*Aim

@yawnsvillex But again if that’s the case, how can all the governments of the world go along with this knowing how much shit the majority of us will be in

@goingtosnow But if we won’t own anything, where will we live etc? Surely the governments can’t just carry this out without our consent?

Alot of people are mortgaged up to their eyeballs. All it would take is banks to raise interests and they cant afford the repayments. So pretty easy to take someone's house. Aren't they predicting a monster recession coming?

I rent already so 'the great reset' wont affect me Grin
@goingtosnow What’s the sim of this? For what reason, is it dressed up under the guise of climate change, will it be worldwide
I think climate change, the 4th industrial revolution, the green whatever...
I even get the idea that it would tackle planned obsolescence , consumerism etc
But it will also remove a lot of freedoms
And I suppose digital health passports etc will be part of it.

Nomoreboobs · 29/11/2020 10:17

@Fuckingshifty But again, the aim is what? And I’m guessing it won’t just be about renting houses? Many people have houses they’ve worked really hard for, rent is generally higher than many mortgages..what a bleak future

everybodysang · 29/11/2020 10:26

It doesn't take long for the crackpots and bots to show up on these threads, does it?

I have no idea 🤷‍♀️ My DF is a tin hat and when I questioned him on what he was preaching about how the great reset meant nobody would own their own home that was his answer. Couldnt argue with it though because it is plausible.

When I questioned him on how they can take homes people own outright, his answer was that they already are - if you go in a care home they take their home.

But I think that answer is flawed because every home owner would need to enter a care home. And as I pointed out to him (he owns outright) our family have shit genes and a history of sudden premature death so they may take our freedom but theyll never take our house Grin

Unless of course the gov change inheritance tax laws so that homes must be turned over to them to 'repay furlough'.

cardswapping · 29/11/2020 10:33

Only in the UK could people come up with a conspiracy based on house ownership.

Next will be school catchment areas.

goingtosnow · 29/11/2020 10:51

Certainly wouldn't be limited to houses if this was to go abead

AcornAutumn · 29/11/2020 10:56

Now my conspiracy is no one likes me as no one was interested in my link

Joking aside, I can’t be the only person who heard a lot about this?!

“ have no idea 🤷‍♀️ My DF is a tin hat and when I questioned him on what he was preaching about how the great reset meant nobody would own their own home that was his answer. Couldnt argue with it though because it is plausible.”

There’s some very odd aspects of the Coronavirus Act and this is one. They can confiscate and demolish property if it’s believed to be a civic risk.

I completely understand why people are worried.

This is alongside keeping DNA from tests for 20 years.

AcornAutumn · 29/11/2020 10:59

*covid not civic

That was autocorrect

cardswapping · 29/11/2020 11:16

@AcornAutumn - Local councils already had that power www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1984/22 and must go to court to get authorisation from a judge.
