my next door neighbours have been playing very loud happy hardcore SHIT since i went out of the house at half 9 this morning. i'm now trying to get ds down for a nap, but all we can hear is their FUCKING SHIT music! i know i can't really go and ask them to turn it down - it's daylight and they're entitled to play their CRAP but it's making me hate them (and i haven't even met them yet!)

Don't call the environment agency - they deal with floods.

Call the environmental health dept of your local council - they deal with floods of noise

YANBU - and you wouldn't be unreasonable if you put a brick through their cd player for talking to you like that

roffle Squonk, yes you're absolutely right!! doubt the environment agency would be very interested!

i'm wondering now if i caught her at a bad time, or if she was having a bad day, or whether she turned it off because she was going out anyway?

think i will pop over later, if she's not in i'll stick a note or a card through the door!

urban - my sympathies, we have the same problem occasionally with our next door neighbours (bedsits) music playing early hours of the morning when they come back from the pub. i think its because they are of a culture where its more the norm to have loud music playing, shouting up at the windows to get people's attention instead of knocking the flaming door
fingers X'd, ours seem to have laid off a bit recently, but its worthwhile contacting the land registry (if it continues) they will (for a small fee, £3 i think) give you details of who owns the property, so you can get in touch with the landlord.
hope lo managed to have a nap afterwards

urban - you are def right to go over and be really calm - you could say its a shame we met when iwas stressed or something like that to get her on side

good luck
