Just that really, never had it before but wondering if I should this year. I’m in my 30s.

I always have the jab. I got it free this year as my partner is extremely clinically vulnerable, but I have paid previously.

No, I have always been more ill if I have it than if I don't.

@Tomorrowillbeachicken

I had it this year. I have a heart condition
I have a heart condition too but not eligible for a free jab. Sad

I had an email this week from Lloyds saying they had more stock in, not at my local one apparently. They really got my hopes up. I don't mind having to pay at all but just didn't realise quite how hard it would be to get one this year. I'm just hoping because I'm not going out around other people much now that that'll help me avoid catching so many winter bugs.

Mia1415 · 21/11/2020 14:27

No. I should as I'm asthmatic but after 2 bad reactions I've not had one for years.

GrapevineFires · 21/11/2020 17:30

Yes. Only started getting it 4 years ago when pregnant. Has it even since. I work directly with nurses who administer it and I’m responsible for organising and promoting, so it’s free to me.

Though this year I did need to go to a pharmacy. Still free though. Not sure I would get it if I had to pay.

OP, regarding your comment about feeling unwell after it - that’s never been my experience and this year I didn’t even have a sore arm. Though that is only my experience.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2020 18:17

Feeling unwell for a couple of days isn’t a huge problem though is it? In the grand scheme of things a couple of days is nothing.

My period pains last longer than that and no buggers offered to find a vaccine for them 🤨.

I've had flu, once, when I was 17. My parents were away and my ex boyfriend had to come over to help me get in and out the bath and dress etc. I'd take feeling a bit ropey for a few days over that!
