What is the point of a B Day, does anyone actually use them?

Does anyone have a B day, in this day and age are they still being used? My parents have one and it just got me thinking, like how does it work, I have never used one before, isn't having a shower easier, can someone explain to me?

Do you mean a bidet?

PurpleDaisies · 17/11/2020 21:22

Bidet?!!

TheMiMit · 17/11/2020 21:22

I agree-don't get it.

Branleuse · 17/11/2020 21:22

you basically squat over it and wash your arse/foof

Id love one

WillSantaBeComingToTown · 17/11/2020 21:22

It is better than an A day but not as good as a C day.

Those z days though- unbelievable

Branleuse · 17/11/2020 21:23

you wouldnt have a shower every time you went to the loo though.

Jinglebellissimo · 17/11/2020 21:23

You use it to wash your clothes in before putting them away in your Chester drawers

Merryoldgoat · 17/11/2020 21:23

I’m not being a twat OP but I had to read this about 4 times before I knew what you were referring to.

I can imagine they’re quite useful in some circumstances but not essential.

I think most people use after going to the toilet or if they’re having a period to clean up.

iklboogeymum · 17/11/2020 21:25

I saw the title & thought you were talking about birthdays Grin

I've never used one myself but bizarrely had a dream last week I was on a cruise and all the toilets were open air with a built in bidet like Japanese toilets.

CeliaCanth · 17/11/2020 21:25

I use my B Day every year to get my hands on some presents and cake Grin

Pipandmum · 17/11/2020 21:26

Goodness I'm glad someone else guessed what you meant. My friend said hers was lifesaver after she got stitches after childbirth.

GrandUnion · 17/11/2020 21:26

And Emily in Emily in Paris rinses her hair in hers when her shower breaks down mid-shower. Grin

DimidDavilby · 17/11/2020 21:26

😂😂😂😂

Sparklyring · 17/11/2020 21:26

I thought this was about birthdays! NOT bidets:-/

Dugee · 17/11/2020 21:27

Dunno, they were all the rage in the 80s when package holidays took off. An aspiring middle class trying to look posh. Not sure when they fell out of fashion but I haven't seen a late 90s onwards bathroom with one. They are more hygienic than just wiping though.

LynetteScavo · 17/11/2020 21:27

I thought this was about birthdays. They're very useful.

Bidets are good for washing your feet.

elQuintoConyo · 17/11/2020 21:28

You sit on facing the taps. You wash your hairy areas, rather than wasting money, resources and landfill on wetwipes.

Plus they're great for washing small things in at hotels (pants, socks, tights), as Barbie baths, and easy to reach for toddlers washing their hands.

I once used a B day on my actual B day, a wild ride I tell you!

ZombieAttack · 17/11/2020 21:28

Washing my feet.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/11/2020 21:29

Interested to know opinions on people who have them?

Presumably it must feel nice Grin is rob never be off it

elQuintoConyo · 17/11/2020 21:29

Oh, and fab for shaving your legs!

ShipOfTheseus · 17/11/2020 21:29

Completely normal in some countries in Europe. They think we’re gross that we don’t have them.

Fleetwoodmacs · 17/11/2020 21:30

I came here thinking it was for fellow birthday haters.

Idontbelieveit12 · 17/11/2020 21:30

B Day 🤣🤣🤣

Lorddenning1 · 17/11/2020 21:31

Haha no wonder google wasn't showing me much information, my bad, i obviously meant a Bidet, runs and hides in the corner Confused

I think they’re probably a good idea.

Japanese loos are awesome. I wonder why they haven’t caught on here. At all.
