Excruciating abdo pain. 111 said wait for call from OOH within 6 hours. In so much pain. Real agony.

I'm so glad you called and have had pain relief and will be seeing someone. I hope it's something easily treatable. All the best.

BananaFlavouredPancakes · 17/11/2020 08:20

Hope you're okay OP and recover quickly! Flowers

Rememberallball · 17/11/2020 18:49

How did it go today @Worried234? Been thinking about you after reading your post in the early hours xx

Sexnotgender · 17/11/2020 18:54

Hope you’re feeling a bit better. Did they find out the cause?

Crappyfridays7 · 17/11/2020 18:56

Ouch, glad you called I think often it is the right thing to do. I’ve had kidney stones a few times never felt pain like it, twice whilst very heavily pregnant and once after the baby. Was actually worse than having the baby and nothing I did at bome made any difference I couldn’t sit, stand or do much at all - with 13 month old and 2 older kids I had to wait in agony for their dad to get home with granny to get me to a&e then I threw up all over the car in the driveway wasn’t v popular was in hospital a few nights, I remember the nurse in hospital saying to me oh love you’re really not well and being so kind - also couldn’t get any really decent pain relief due to baby/breastfeeding. Thankfully never had that again.
Anyway I hope you’re being cared for well & things get better soon, take care

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 17/11/2020 20:25

Hope you’re ok 👍🏼

TheSoapyFrog · 17/11/2020 20:28

Hope you're doing ok OP. If it's any consolation I went to A&E a few years back with excruciating abdomen pains and it turned out to be my first IBS flare up. Agony but harmless.

Worried234 · 17/11/2020 23:03

Update. I have a 9cm ovarian cyst, that the surgeons think is twisted around my ovary itself. I have had a CT scan and am due for surgery tomorrow. I have never had pain like it. Thanks so much all of you for supporting me Smile

Bloody hell, no wonder that hurt OP. Good that you are being dealt with so quickly. Just think of the relief once it's removed.

Poor you though - sounds really painful. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

CovidAnni · 17/11/2020 23:07

Oh my @Worried234!
Flowers sleep well

justasking111 · 17/11/2020 23:07

Good lord, you poor woman! I hope you can get some decent rest and are not in pain Thanks

CharityPecksniff · 17/11/2020 23:17

Good luck OP

Alldressedup · 17/11/2020 23:17

So glad to hear you are getting the care you need OP.
And glad you didn’t listen to the posters who think you should only call 999 if you are practically dead! The ambulance service is capable of making an assessment as to who needs an ambulance, and in what order of priority. You’d think that when you dial 999 you automatically join the back of the queue and just wait your turn by some of what you read on here!
Anyway, wishing you a speedy recovery OP.

greyhills · 17/11/2020 23:22

All the best OP Flowers

NeverTwerkNaked · 17/11/2020 23:22

nellyburt · 17/11/2020 23:47

Good luck op. I had exactly the same thing 20 years ago. The relief following the operation was immense. They removed one of my Fallopian tubes but had two quick pregnancies in the years after. Hope all goes smoothly for you.

PyongyangKipperbang · 17/11/2020 23:50

I had similar. 111 said to wait for a call back, but when I turned green (literally, never believed it when I read it in books) then DH drove me to the GP. Locum diagnosed IBS. An hour later DH rang them back and proper GP took one look at me, pressed my abdomen and called an ambulance.

I had started with appendicitis and ended up with slash and burn (MASSIVE scar) due to peretonitis. My appendix was described as "very runny" by the surgeon the next day.

MinnieJackson · 18/11/2020 08:38

Oh God Flowers good luck this morning for your op. Enjoy the morphine Grin

Sexnotgender · 18/11/2020 08:43

Ouch!! Glad you’re being seen to now. Hopefully on the mend quickly Flowers

SpamIAm · 18/11/2020 08:57

Oh gosh OP, good job you got seen! I hope you've had a good sleep on the morphine and that all goes well today.

fizzyp0p · 18/11/2020 09:09
