How long do you spend on Mumsnet?

I'm just curious as my dh thinks I'm addicted and after him pointing out that I'm generally on here or checking threads at least every half hour even at work and most evenings are consumed with Mumsnet does this sound reasonable?
Have name changed.

Flushii · 15/11/2020 20:20

I’m here when I’m free, it’s like my Instagram/Facebook etc

Rainbowx · 15/11/2020 20:37

Yes I'm the same !

toomuchfaster · 15/11/2020 20:39

Ditto!!

DramaAlpaca · 15/11/2020 20:40

Far too long Blush

In my defence it's the only form of social media I do.

MrsSpringfield · 15/11/2020 20:41

Yes Blush me too.

ShalomToYouJackie · 15/11/2020 20:42

All the bloody time. I read it with my breakfast, on the toilet, in bed, when I'm meant to be watching TV. I use it more than other social media tbh

Emmapeeler2 · 15/11/2020 20:43

Me too! No more than DH is on Pistonheads though. And I don't do any other SM.

FourPlatinumRings · 15/11/2020 20:48

I am, but I freely admit I have a problem. It is not healthy. I have had to intentionally forget my password before to stop myself going on here constantly.

Sangham · 15/11/2020 20:50

Me too. I got a big response to my first post and have been on it ever since. It's very addictive.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 15/11/2020 20:52

Yabu. You know it's not good for you. Do you read books or anything?

jtmarty · 15/11/2020 21:03

Ooh it's not just me then.
I know it's addictive I don't go on other sm a lot.
I also don't know anyone else in rl who is on here.
@Chicchicchicchiclana
No I don't read books only bedtime stories.

CastleOfDoom · 15/11/2020 21:05

Nope, not me, I'm not on here at all.....

Coffeeandcookies · 15/11/2020 21:09

I'm never here. Never ever. Never ever ever.

sabrinaq · 15/11/2020 21:11

On all the time. It's got me through the COVID horror tbh.

LadyEloise · 15/11/2020 21:11

Too long Blush

TyroTerf · 15/11/2020 21:12

Variable. Sometimes it's my primary means of divertion from humdrum daily existence. Then I get sucked into something else for a while and only stick my head in to lurk a bit.

Right now it's way too much time but I'm gearing up to shift focus to the unread book piles. Will probably stay there until the back hall light bulb blows and I can't read while smoking on the doorstep in the evening any more.

burglarbettybaby · 15/11/2020 21:16

Yep on here all the time Blush but have very little social contact outside home and work since covid so I think to hell with it. I enjoy it

tigerbear · 15/11/2020 21:17

Same OP!
I’ve been on here every day for 10 years!
I spend waaay too much time on here!

JaffaCake70 · 15/11/2020 21:20

I've become more addicted during all the Covid restrictions.

Bananalanacake · 15/11/2020 21:25

Well it's better than being addicted to something expensive and bad for you, like coke.

eaglejulesk · 15/11/2020 21:27

Far too long - every day I say I am going to leave it alone, but I can't. Help me ......

KevinTheCarrot12 · 15/11/2020 21:30

All the time! So much so it seeps into my conversations at home now ‘I read such and such a thing on mumsnet...’. Everyone just rolls their eyes at me now whenever I mention MN.

Same here.
tigerbear · 15/11/2020 22:52

@KevinTheCarrot12 yup, same here too!
sooo many conversations begin, “well, on Mumsnet today, this person...”

BogRollBOGOF · 15/11/2020 22:58

Far too much.
Concentration span for other things is not assisted by the constant presence of DH and DCs other than their golden 30 hours in school.

I'm trying to get back into TV and focus on that, although I never did one thing at a time; pre DCs it was books.
