How long do you spend on Mumsnet?

I'm just curious as my dh thinks I'm addicted and after him pointing out that I'm generally on here or checking threads at least every half hour even at work and most evenings are consumed with Mumsnet does this sound reasonable?
Have name changed.

Especially recently it's been my substitute for friends

Coffee and Mumsnet.

shumway · 16/11/2020 15:03

I'm on here all the time. It gets me through the days.

Oh dear, that describes me! I find myself longing for conversations in real life just like a lot of the subjects raised in MN. I also do the " I saw this on Mumsnet" too. Is that sad?

I like to think of it as interactive reading.

rorosemary · 16/11/2020 15:44

Too much. Hours each day. The pandemic and me as good as shielding made it much worse. I think that I use it as a form of contact at the moment.

LadyEloise · 16/11/2020 16:33

Interactive reading- I love it @DressingGownofDoom

[waves] @BaitandSwitch

I tell might self it would be a lot worse without it.

BaitandSwitch · 17/11/2020 07:53

Yes Finally, I think I'm with you on that :) Says she, logging on at the start of the workingday.

AlCalavicci · 17/11/2020 07:58

Me on here to much nope not me . . . . never . . . only um 10 mins per day honest . . . . .

DillonPanthersTexas · 17/11/2020 08:07

I just get amused when some posters who clearly spend most of their waking hour on here start smugly dispensing relationship advice while using their own set up as some kind of example for others to follow. I'm thinking "when do you have time to have these mature respectful thoughtful conversations with your DH when you are goofing off on here all day"

Joswis · 17/11/2020 08:13

It's down time for me. Brain dead, relax, tea and feet up.

Some of the discussions are interesting and quite heavy duty, but honestly, those that post reams, with quotes, refutations and carefully prepared arguments?

EmeraldShamrock · 17/11/2020 08:14

Oh yes sporadically throughout the day.
After I read a thread on friendships it got me thinking why I didn't invest more like I did pre DC.
I've company through this at home. 🤣
