Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

Wow 🤣 so we managed to tell everyone I’m not sure who’s reaction was best

My brother “ I mean I’m not fussed to much about the fact you are having a baby together, I am slightly concerned there will be a human who is genetically part you and him, it’s the future of the planet I worry for “ 🤣🤣

My mum “ how did you not know ??You have done it twice before “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My dad “ guessing you need my bank card “ haha

Congratulations Flowers
How did his family react?

Love your brothers response.

My first was conceived incredibly early into a relationship, it was a blessing and I wouldn’t change it. It fast forwarded everything e.g piles conversations!! But it does bond you in a very special way. Peoples faces and reactions are funny as well.

Congratulations, Delilah is a beautiful name.

Merryoldgoat · 14/11/2020 13:33

This thread is lovely. Congratulations OP.

MsChatterbox · 14/11/2020 13:36

Love your dad's response 😂

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 14/11/2020 13:53

Sounds like you have a great family with a good sense of humour too!
And I have a DS the same age as yours, who would probably be less laconic than yours if I were to tell him I was about to have a baby, mostly because he finds his younger brother a bit much as it is!
Luckily for him, it's not going to happen, so he's ok. Grin

Whattheactual20201 · 14/11/2020 14:10

@ThumbWitchesAbroad yes thankfully my family are fab which was helpful when I fell pregnant with DS as I was a tiny bit young 🙈
His family were all shocked but very sweet and emotional ( first grandchild )
Where as my parents have 4 already 🤣

Awwww lovely 😊

Remember there is plenty you can safely buy 2nd hand!!

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 14/11/2020 14:38

Oh OP this is just wonderful - congratulations.

lollylimejuice · 14/11/2020 14:43

It takes time to sink in for everyone. Once they gone away, had a chat, had a think, slept on it, they'll all be thrilled and coming back with questions. DP's parents will be over the moon. "Our boy is going to be a dad." We're all just so happy for you. A few hurdles still to jump..... pram, cot, clothes and on and on but your dad sounds a cracker and you'll get it sorted, after all, you've got at least 6 weeks!!!

lollylimejuice · 14/11/2020 15:26

This happened to my DIL during lockdown. At first we were happy but shocked now we're just looking forward to this extra little unexpected bundle. Her DC are 7 and 11. Both overjoyed. Can't wait x

DressingGownofDoom · 14/11/2020 16:05

What an amazing thread! OP is hilarious Grin good luck with your new baby!

SunshineCake · 14/11/2020 17:55

A few months ago I read about a couple who had had a traumatic time and lost a baby so when they conceived again they told no one. One day they Skyped their parents and said they had something to show them....👶

6demandingchildren · 14/11/2020 18:48

This is the best news ever. I'm just so happy for a family I have never met.

rosegoldivy · 14/11/2020 18:59

zombielady · 14/11/2020 19:16

Aw bless you, congratulations x

uncomfortablydumb53 · 14/11/2020 20:01

Congratulations What a wonderful surprise
Having the scan must've been reassuring and gives you a firm idea of timescales

Rememberallball · 14/11/2020 20:04

@Whattheactual20201, I think I love your DDad’s reaction just a little bit (well, rather a lot really 🤣) do take him up on it if needed. However, I agree with pp and say don’t buy too much all at once - you’ll find the world and his wife will have cots, Moses baskets, prams, the lot they will want to loan you while you get your heads around the news!!

slothtrot · 14/11/2020 21:22

I don't understand how you didn't know, I mean you are obviously pregnant in your photo.

Whattheactual20201 · 14/11/2020 21:27

@slothtrot I had what I thought was periods and haven’t felt “ kicking “ etc
I had consulted with the GP over bloatness and symptoms ( nausea and struggling to go toilet etc ) but it was all over phone.
It wasn’t until the piles started and bloating got worse that I was speaking to a friend who suggested I took a test as the last time I had piles I was pregnant with DD. I was under the assumption that wouldn’t be bleeding monthly.

CrazylazyJane · 14/11/2020 22:01

Congratulations 🎉

Sushirolls · 14/11/2020 22:17

OP at the risk of sounding like a stalker 🙈🤣 Roughly where do you live?

I'm about 45 mins South of London and have a brand new Moses basket mattress (still in the packaging), that you're welcome to.

Congratulations 🎊
