Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

Haha - don't fret - the internet is a marvellous thing.

Have you got any friends with little ones?

ie to borrow a few items....

In olden days of course, the baby was put in the bottom draw as a bed/cot. Might work for a bit Grin

Have just read the rest of your update, congratulations, and you don't have long to wait. Are your other children thrilled too?

MsChatterbox · 14/11/2020 05:54

Lovely name. There also lots of great baby stuff on Facebook marketplace!

Awww - lovely. Your daughter will be a massive help. All of my kids always enjoyed watching bigger children talk to them etc. It's like they sense one of their own (!)

Whattheactual20201 · 14/11/2020 06:03

I just feel like I’m going to be a parent forever 🤣
DS will be 13
DD will be 7
Newborn
I had DS young, so wasn’t expecting to start over again 🙈

Good luck with the Zoom - I'm off to work now - see ya

Scarydinosaurs · 14/11/2020 06:13

Congratulations! All will be well in the end.

dinosnorezzzz · 14/11/2020 06:36

Op I can only imagine how surprised your family will be and how lovely having a big zoom meeting. You will have to update us how it goes. At least you can put some baby bits in your Christmas list now Grin

DinosApple · 14/11/2020 06:36

I've been awake since 4am OP, and yours is just the loveliest thread. Congratulations! Delilah is a beautiful name. Enjoy your early morning shopping BrewFlowers

BlueCowWonders · 14/11/2020 06:39

I'm another who has just read the thread all in one go. What lovely news.
@Whattheactual20201 - don't rush to do/ buy anything now! People will love the news and want to help. But do think about your physical and mental health. Can you fit in any zoom antenatal yoga/ relaxation/ refresher classes? It's such a lovely thing to be able to focus on this baby after a long break Smile

(I've always thought that 9 months is perfect for first babies but second/ third could do with being much shorter. And you've done exactly that GrinGrinGrin )

Pearsapiece · 14/11/2020 06:39

Congratulations op! Such a shock for you. I'm 28 weeks and can't imagine finding out now!! Good luck with it all

ChalkDinosaur · 14/11/2020 06:42

I just read this, what a lovely thread. Congratulations OP, I'm glad everything looked OK at the scan. Hope you manage to get hold of everything you need x

rainbowscalling · 14/11/2020 06:42

Congratulations OP!

I feel you with the shock. I found out I was pregnant in late October a few years ago, was already 30 weeks and she came early so I only knew I was pregnant for 6 weeks! And we didn't even live together (still with parents) so had to find somewhere to live in that time too.

I can imagine the stress with lockdown and shops too! But remember just how much you can get online now. What a lovely thing to come out of such a shitty year!

scrivette · 14/11/2020 06:57

Your DD must have been delighted it's a girl and I hope that the dog took the news well!

Thank you for keeping us updated.

Dearmaria · 14/11/2020 07:11

Oh I've just read this thread all in one go and it's so lovely! Congratulations OP! I'm so glad everything is well and hope all continues to go well Flowers Delilah is a beautiful name!

katmarie · 14/11/2020 07:40

Op, a baby is always wonderful news, so I'm sure your families will be thrilled. As a pp said, I'm sure you will be inundated with gifts. What a lovely thread!

ForthPlace · 14/11/2020 10:22

And DP's the brother...we want to know his reaction!!

Love Delilah.
I had gone with the OP that had posted the link for 'surprise' names. I liked 'Epiphany', beautiful and unusual and in my mind had shortened her name to 'Eppi'.
You can tell we've got time on our hands during lockdown (actually I so haven't! ) and are living your joy!

SamsMumsCateracts · 14/11/2020 10:25

What a lovely thread! Congratulations Op and good luck with the zoom call! Don't forget to record it, it'll be lovely to show your daughter when she's older!
