@Derbee

Your latest update says it all OP. They don’t like you because they think you’re an annoying immature little brat!
Would you honestly say that to the OP's face?

It really wasn't in the least bit necessary.

saraclara · 10/11/2020 10:49

@HTH1 and @PurpleFlower1983..and all these people saying "bin it". This is someone else's property. It's absolutely appalling that you think the OP (who has hardly covered herself in glory here) should steal and destroy someone else's belongings.

If someone did that to you, would you be happy?

PurpleFlower1983 · 10/11/2020 15:14

@saraclara Honestly? As much as the OP hasn’t covered herself in glory at all, I do think it’s disrespectful to have photos of your son’s ex around when they were clearly a couple.

HTH1 · 10/11/2020 19:44

I wouldn’t dream of doing that in the first place as the MIL but, if I did, I would probably smile to myself (and would fully understand why) if OP did bin it.

BackforGood · 10/11/2020 20:46

Completely agree with @saraclara
Can't believe that there are people who think it is acceptable to steal and throw out property from the MiL's house.

Elvesinquarantine · 10/11/2020 20:50

My mil preferred dh's ex also. She even whispered in my ear his ex wanted his dc after we told her I was pregnant..
Her response to the news was that accidents happen!!
I backed away.
I suggest you do too op. If your dp doesn't make plans to nurture relationships between your dc and his family why should you?

Derbee · 11/11/2020 11:02

@Nanny0gg I absolutely would say this to her face. If a friend was asking advice, I would point out that she’s not making things easy for herself by acting like such an entitled little child.
