To feel sorry for Melania...

... having to look sad in front of Donald and hide her champagne party for one when inside she’s thinking PRAISE THE LORD! I can get out of here!

“I don’t really care, do you?”

That really told me everything I need to know about her. And she was a birther, questioning Obama’s nationality. She criticised immigration and came in on a genius visa.

She dgaf about anyone but herself... she’s ruined her kid’s happiness because he’ll be an outcast (though maybe she’s fine hanging out with fascists at country clubs). They’re not welcome back in NY.

Fallsballs · 08/11/2020 11:06

@aramo not everyone has said those words re Melania you have quoted, you are deliberately misinterpreting the thread for your own anti Biden agenda.
Oh hold on, that’s what your lord and master Trump does ?

aramo · 08/11/2020 11:06

Outing but don’t care. This thick trump supporter has an LLB and LLM.

Fallsballs · 08/11/2020 11:08

I never called you thick - you did that yourself missus, and wants a LLB and the other one ?

aramo · 08/11/2020 11:11

Really want to leave this thread and get on with my day but like yourself I can not. Anyway I did not say everyone, you are deliberately misinterpreting my thread for you own use. I am still waiting for the brainwashed trump supporter comment. Oh no wait, what...

Fallsballs · 08/11/2020 11:14

I never called you a brainwashed trump supporter 🙄

For a person with some Law qualifications you certainly know how to dig big holes for yourself.

aramo · 08/11/2020 11:15

In your defence that was not meant for you, I meant to attach to another’s quote who called trump supporters thick. I could be really catty and say that you are thick for not knowing as that is the general spiel of anti trumpets, however I won’t as maybe you just have not come across the initials before, but they are for a law degree and a masters in law.
caringcarer · 08/11/2020 11:16

I have seen him try to hold her hand and she snatched it away. It looks like she doesn't even like him.

ILoveYoga · 08/11/2020 11:16

There was a similar thread a while ago. At the time, I didn’t really feel sorry for her as she did t sign up for that. BUT she’s gotten fairly good compensation.

However, she can’t just divorce him right now as I think she’s fun the risk of all the hatred being focused on to her by all his supporters. She’s stuck for a number of months at least, well past the Biden inauguration

Fallsballs · 08/11/2020 11:16

I know what they are, but ye being so terribly clever should have got the irony. Dig dig dig away...

Fallsballs · 08/11/2020 11:18

@aramo - nice calling me thick when I’ve been polite. Tut tut, no self control Ms Lawyer.

As long as everything I state is legal, legal, legal. I will
Doobiedooo · 08/11/2020 11:23

@aramo why are people are saying these things about melania (you mention gold digger, whore, prostitute)? Answer: because everyone including MT know she is there because of her looks. She trades on her looks (= what prostitutes do). Her good looks are what makes her. She is a former model. I doubt trump would have given her a second look if she did not look so gorgeous, physically. Yes, she may also speak 4 languages. But he chose her because of her looks, and I understand that she used to hang out in certain night clubs knowing this was where rich Americans came—including trump. They did not meet in a library.

Jill Biden is not a former model. She is a teacher with a PhD. That all said, we can expect lots of comments against her in due course too. That’s what happens when you are in a position of power.

RaspberryCoulis · 08/11/2020 11:24

@MagicoRomantico

What makes you so sure she is happy he lost? I heard she's quite instrumental in his campaigns. She's the first person he phones after a speech or rally because he values her feedback.
Of course he does, what with her being a well known towering intellect and all. Hmm

He doesn't want "feedback". He just wants people to boot his ego and tell him how great he is.

BraveBananaBadge · 08/11/2020 11:25

No no no. As some have already pointed out, the “I really don’t care” jacket was absolutely reprehensible.

Interesting this vote is currently a 51-49 split though!

MoonJelly · 08/11/2020 11:26

Would that excuse be accepted if anybody else was touching children in such a way.

Yes. There is no suggestion of assault.

aramo · 08/11/2020 11:28

We really need to end this, as we both must get on with our day, so after this I will give you the final shot, before that however read again I did not call you thick I said I could have done. Also just because I have law qualifications does not make me a lawyer I would have needed to also undertake my LPC my field of work is entirely different, it does however make you more aware of what you can say.

annabel85 · 08/11/2020 11:29

She chose to marry him and have a child with him. She’s incredibly rich and whatever happens it doesn’t really make a difference does it?

It's laughable isn't it? She wasn't forced into an arranged marriage that she has to stay in until death.

DrDavidBanner · 08/11/2020 11:35

She's an adult and she went into it with her eyes open.

To feel sorry for Melania...
IcedPurple · 08/11/2020 11:35

YABU. She has a glacial coldness about her. She may not have anticipated becoming First Lady but she knew who she was marrying. Do you really think she fell for his devastating good looks, witty repartee and kind character? Of course not. She married for the money. And as the saying goes, when you marry for money, you earn every penny.

PhoebeSnow · 08/11/2020 11:38

I feel sorry for Baron. He is a teenager, with all the issues that can bring and has a overbearing nut job for a father. His step siblings are all a good bit older than him and overbearing too, so I hope his mother protect him from the rest of his family.

Mainly I’ll save my pity for the hundreds of children separated from their families who could well be lost forever. Hope Binden and Harris will put their energy into finding them.

CounsellorTroi · 08/11/2020 11:43

@InFlagranteDerelicto

I used to feel sorry for her, but I've seen a lot of things recently that indicate she's as bad. The "I don't care, do you" jacket, moaning about the chore of having to decorate for Christmas, the fact that she's his first call after a big speech. TBH, the fact that she clearly & with her eyes open, married him purely for money (and has admitted as much). She may be in a shit marriage, but she apparently chose him as much as he chose her. It's not like she was powerless; I'd compare her more to Imelda Marcos than Katherine Howard.
So would I. Poor little Katherine Howard had no real choice about marrying Henry VIII.
ancientgran · 08/11/2020 11:50

You don't think that could have anything to do with having lost his own daughter as a baby? I've always thought that, and he's a hugger anyway. It is difficult, I don't like being hugged and like my personal space but I don't jump to the conclusion that people who are huggers are creepy, they are just different to me.

shesgonebatshitagain · 08/11/2020 11:51

I think sympathy is the wrong word
That’s as polite a contribution as I can summon up about Melania Trump.

ancientgran · 08/11/2020 11:51

His step siblings are all a good bit older than him and overbearing too, so I hope his mother protect him from the rest of his family. I think you mean half siblings, sorry if that seems pedantic but I have 4 kids, two from each marriage and it always hurt them when they were described as step siblings, they never even use half siblings let alone step siblings.
