To kind of want this dress

Like I KNOW it's awful, I know it's a costume for Mrs Christmas... But I still kind of love it. I think the kids would be delighted if I wore this Christmas day, too. Is it just too horrendous to consider?

Lots of fab red dresses out there. deadlyisthefemale.com/product-category/clothing/dresses/?filter_colour=red
All bum sizes catered for.

I really like it, but I'd get gravy down the fur trim, guaranteed.

ButtonMoonLoon · 07/11/2020 23:52

Oh, get it! I think it would make a lovely dressing gown/ house coat sort of thing

Candyfloss99 · 08/11/2020 00:06

I need it.

GlamGiraffe · 08/11/2020 00:08

Its lovely!

Candyfloss99 · 08/11/2020 00:10

£92 is expensive for a dress you can only wear one day a year though.

Italiangreyhound · 08/11/2020 00:18

I want one!

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 08/11/2020 00:19

£92 for a dry-clean, polyester dress to wear only on Christmas day?

Bigbrowproblems · 08/11/2020 00:20

@mayandjuniper thanks! Just found it. Stops at an 18 though and I'm a little larger Grin

I love it! Would splurge just to make Christmas a bit more fun this year!

DaddysGirlForLife · 08/11/2020 00:22

Ooo I love it!

honeylulu · 08/11/2020 00:28

Yes! In fact I have similar (short version) I bought from Wish, without considering tiny Chinese sizing. My whole arse was sticking out so I had to wear it with trousers underneath and yes, the fabric was still very hot!

fantasmasgoria1 · 08/11/2020 00:35

Is a 50s dress. It looks nice and you wear it when you want to!

WithIcePlease · 08/11/2020 00:48

This year, I'd buy it and wear it all December. We need all the frivolity and occasion we can muster!
I'm doing Christmas Eve boxes for the first time for DC 18 and 22 as I anticipate no family stuff with rule of 6 etc
I'd buy it if I was the body shape to carry it

user1481840227 · 08/11/2020 01:01

I wouldn't wear it myself but think it's fun and you should go for it.
There's a video of the model wearing it on the instagram page and it's so pretty when she swishes it!

I like it and even went to the website to check it out. My lord, 92 pounds for a dress to wear once a year! With the lockdown and working from home, it's been a long time since I shopped for new clothes and must have forgotten how much dresses cost. This brand doesn't even offer discount codes despite being quite niche. It looks like fancy dress. Seriously, £92? I think I'll pass.

Tezza1 · 08/11/2020 03:07

@user1481840227 I am going to look at that site, and see if I can find something suitably swishy to wear for an Australian Christmas. I think I'm going to have to invest some of my "stop smoking" money into it. I'd love a dressing gown cut in a similar fashion.

TheBlessedCheesemaker · 08/11/2020 04:29

I’m not into clothes, but I love that dress.

Dee1975 · 08/11/2020 06:29

I love it! Go for it and have fun :-)

Aweebawbee · 08/11/2020 06:30

Fantastic. It's very Doris-Day-White-Christmas. Get your DH a pipe too!

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 08/11/2020 06:35

But, but, but....it’s dry-clean only. I always spill gravy or something down me. And I sweat, loads. If your cook prepares Christmas dinner for you, go for it. Otherwise, find a dress that you can throw in the washing machine.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/11/2020 07:10

It’s beautiful. Were I well, this would be absolutely for me. It is dry clean only because of the fake fur trim. I’ve washed fake fur and not had a problem. It needs a delicate wash but not often and brushing after.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/11/2020 07:10

Oh and I meant to say. Go for it!

pussycatinboots · 08/11/2020 07:24

This was my first thought too.😂
Standrewsschool · 08/11/2020 07:33

Love it. I’d wear it.
