YABU because, Yes Daddy is a catch phrase or something that I’ve missed? And not at all offensive.

YANBU
To complain to amazon to get rid of the whole yes daddy range.

I’m trying to understand why someone would make or wear these.
OP posts:
HotPenguin · 07/11/2020 14:37

Yes it's creepy, but who has slogans on their pants anyway? Or am I just boring?

stackemhigh · 07/11/2020 14:38

I can't imagine ever calling DH that but I have no interest in what consenting adults do in their own homes as long as they're not hurting women each other or their children.

Italiangreyhound · 07/11/2020 14:40

I thin calling your lover daddy is very grim indeed.

DrDavidBanner · 07/11/2020 14:42

Who here thinks its odd that "kink shaming" is a terrible thing to do but sneering at people for being "vanilla" is a-okay?

Or is there a completely transparent, creepy reason for that?

switswooo · 07/11/2020 14:43

@DrDavidBanner but the OP isn't "vanilla shaming". If she was, she'd be shot down for that too.

RickOShay · 07/11/2020 14:44

They are awful. And suggestive.

Greenmarmalade · 07/11/2020 14:44

Gross. Fucking weird.

DrDavidBanner · 07/11/2020 14:46

I am aware of that. @Switswooo I can read.

TheQueef · 07/11/2020 14:47

Grim and unnecessary.

flaviaritt · 07/11/2020 14:47

Who here thinks its odd that "kink shaming" is a terrible thing to do but sneering at people for being "vanilla" is a-okay?

‘Kink-shaming’ 😂 If people want to admit in public to grubby fetishes, I will cheerfully call them what they are: perverts.

Cheeseandlobster · 07/11/2020 14:47

Also an abuse survivor and they are fucking grim. I cant get my head round all the posters saying its nothing Hmm

AuntyPonsonby · 07/11/2020 14:49

Or is there a completely transparent, creepy reason for that?

The obsession of the Mumsnet stasi with other people's underwear and sex life seems a whole lot more creepy to me Grin

DickAndSizzy · 07/11/2020 14:52

The pants are not to my taste but using the word Daddy for your partner is nothing new...

You know I can't stand it
You're runnin' around
You know better daddy
I can't stand it 'cause you put me down

ChelseeDagger · 07/11/2020 14:57

I think its a bit fucked in the head to want to call someone you have sex with 'daddy'

If you want your knickers to advertise that fact then these pants are for you.

TheyreComingToGetYouBarbara · 07/11/2020 15:00

I find it repugnant, but I don't think it's worth complaining about, unless they're trying to sell them to children or something... If I complained about everything I found questionable, I wouldn't have time for anything else.

Italiangreyhound · 07/11/2020 15:01

This may well be the first thread I have seen on underwear so not sure it's a mumsnet obsession.

But it is still Ok to have an opinion on things.

Fairyfalls · 07/11/2020 15:01

Grim! Very strange

Italiangreyhound · 07/11/2020 15:02

OP go ahead and complain if you want to. This is not somebody's private life - this is a company making money. You can complain any time you like.

Thanks
Lockheart · 07/11/2020 15:03

How is something on your knickers "public" or "advertising"?

(Most) people don't tend to wander around with their pants showing.

TheyreComingToGetYouBarbara · 07/11/2020 15:03

Oh, and I have no problem with much so-called "kink-shaming", largely because kinks are usually kinky precisely because they are taboo and "shameful" (or at least borderline) for most people who don't have that particular "kink".

Keep it to yourself (and your partner), essentially. No-one else needs to know about your weird fetish, just as no-one needs to know mine.

lazyarse123 · 07/11/2020 15:04

@ThistleWitch

Sexy pants with daddy on them?? And no one thinks its grim?
Exactly this.
Bluntness100 · 07/11/2020 15:05

Lol at some of these responses. It reminds me of the threads where someone says my neighbour is shagging /named at their living room window and some folks shout well why the fuck are you looking you perv, you’re the issue, not them 😂

Of course it’s grim, but as you can see op, there is a market for it.,,

switswooo · 07/11/2020 15:07

@DrDavidBanner

I am aware of that. *@Switswooo* I can read.
So given there is no vanilla-shaming your question is irrelevant.
shinynewapple2020 · 07/11/2020 15:07

That's seriously creepy

Italiangreyhound · 07/11/2020 15:08

Lockheart the website is public.
