YABU because, Yes Daddy is a catch phrase or something that I’ve missed? And not at all offensive.

YANBU
To complain to amazon to get rid of the whole yes daddy range.

I’m trying to understand why someone would make or wear these.

Just keep scrolling.

🤮🤮🤮

Fluffybutter · 07/11/2020 13:33

It’s creepy , how can anyone say it’s not ?

Fluffybutter · 07/11/2020 13:34

@Divebar

The use of Daddy in sex play is definitely a “thing” and definitely not that uncommon. Just because it’s not your thing doesn’t mean it has to instantly be grim.
So is dressing up as a school girl , still gross
JellyFishSquish · 07/11/2020 13:37

Grim AF.

QueenOfLabradors · 07/11/2020 13:41

Yanbu. It's normalising a rather grim idea about sexual behaviour.

SomewhereEast · 07/11/2020 13:42

'Daddy' started as a bit of a dom/sub thing I think? And then seems to have become a social media shorthand for men who are attractive in some kind of powerful or assertive way. I really don't think any of the people (think its mostly young people) who use to associate with incest at all - its just a slang word for a particular kind of sexual attractiveness.

picklemewalnuts · 07/11/2020 13:46

The lollipop is a Lolita reference.

Calling your partner 'Daddy' while around your children is not the same as calling him Daddy in a sexual way.

This is covert infantilising of women, and pedophilia fetish in a 'socially acceptable' way.

Daddy/Baby play is pretty grim- it may not seem so at first glance but it is if you think about it.
Mummy/baby play is equally grim. Have you seen The Boys, where Homelander has a mummy fetish? Just not nice.

Even if you are untroubled by the associations, it's a fetish displayed in public. Tasteless.

AntiHop · 07/11/2020 13:50

Grim and creepy, and obviously alluding to incest and abuse porn.

Poppyolive90 · 07/11/2020 13:54

Yawn

Fluffybutter · 07/11/2020 13:56

@Poppyolive90

Yawn
What useful input ..
Maireas · 07/11/2020 13:56

@Fluffybutter and @picklemewalnuts - so true. How can people think it's ok? Makes me shudder.

SomewhereInbetween1 · 07/11/2020 13:58

It's a fairly common Dom/ sub trope.

Sertchgi123 · 07/11/2020 13:59

Gross!

JaffaCake70 · 07/11/2020 14:02

@ThistleWitch

Sexy pants with daddy on them?? And no one thinks its grim?
I do!
Juniperandrage · 07/11/2020 14:02

As an incest survivor it's really triggering

DumplingsAndStew · 07/11/2020 14:17

You are obviously not being unreasonable.... I guess the person who showed it to you in the first place (or posted it where you saw it) was just as concerned by it as you are.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 07/11/2020 14:17

Yes. It's creepy as fuck. But there seems to be a real push lately to normalise and publicise all kinds of fetish behaviour that really should stay private at best. It's in no one's interest except the fetishists' to let this happen.

DrDavidBanner · 07/11/2020 14:24

I can imagine it is Juniper, its f*ing grim and those pictures are awful.

Having it written on your pants is pretty private though isn’t it? It’s not like it’s a t-shirt saying “I enjoy BDSM, ask me all about it, kids!”
RedWine123 · 07/11/2020 14:33

@Pogmella Grin

romeolovedjulliet · 07/11/2020 14:33

wtaf ? totally naff and very tacky but no doubt some people would find them..er..classy Hmm

Italiangreyhound · 07/11/2020 14:35

Proper creepy stuff.

lioncitygirl · 07/11/2020 14:37

🤷🏻‍♀️ Surely as adults we can make our decision re which knickers I want. Not my cup of tea - but I wouldn’t dream of telling someone else what they can and cannot wear. Very American I think (the phrase)

flaviaritt · 07/11/2020 14:37

I think it’s absolutely gross, but it’s not illegal to wear knickers with horrible slogans on them. Wind your neck in?
