To think I can see something here..?!

Hello!

So I've tested this morning using FMU with a clear blue digital test.
I got a 'not pregnant' result but the test was still flashing at this time, so I wondered if there could have been an error with the screen..

Anyway I don't ever usually open up tests, but since it didn't look to be working properly I opened it up, and the below is the result I received.

I'm reading mixed messages online as to if this means I'm pregnant but too early for this particular test to pick up, or if this line is supposed to be there?

Please note that this test is NOT a test that tells you how many weeks etc, it's simply just 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' x

Sorry it would help if I was to insert the photos 😂🤦‍♀️

If there's an error with the digitals, it says so. It's a big waste of money to do a digit first, you're far better off trying a Poundland cheapie, then a digital after a strong positive.

How many DPO are tou, if I may ask?

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:27

@BrumBoo thank you, I'm 9DPO today but that could be slightly earlier as I had two days of positive CB OPK's. x

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to open them because they all look like that.
just seen that you're 9dpo, I think that's too early for a digital to pick up, try a first response tomorrow, fingers crossed for you 😊🤞🏽

Newmumatlast · 07/11/2020 12:30

I would personally just do another test

CovidStoleTheRainbow · 07/11/2020 12:30

ALL digital tests have two lines when you open it up if it's negative or not.

My husband could pee on one and it would be negative with two lines if you broke it open.

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:30

@violetclouds I think your right, I don't know why I thought maybe if I open it I will get a better result, the screen was flashing for a while before going static like above. (I know it usually counts down in flashes) but the screen was just going light-dark in flashes.

The pics I've seen online all have much fainter lines than mine so not sure what to think. Xx

Sorry, but that's way too early to use a digital. Wait until the day of your missed period. In the meantime wait a couple of days and use an early detector. The only thing a digital does differently is say the words (and weeks), which 9dpo won't give you a huge amount of information anyway.

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:31

@Newmumatlast thank you :) just about to go out and grab a FRER X

@CovidStoleTheRainbow thank you that's good to know :) x

@BrumBoo yes I know it is too early in the grand scheme of things. It was the only one I had in the house so thought I'd give it a try 😣 I will grab a pink dye in a little while and see what happens x

YABU just for posting this in AIBU rather than on a pregnancy forum.

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:34

@RaspberryCoulis sorry. I'm new to this so didn't really know?

OP posts:
Crunchymum · 07/11/2020 12:35

I can see a line, you may just need a more sensitive test. Good luck with the FRER.

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:35

@Crunchymum thank you, I will get a FRER later today I think and see how it goes x

Thanks all - I will be going to boots later today to get a FRER / pink dye test. 🙂
Apologies for posting in the wrong section.

Have you tried feeling for your cervix that's what made me do a test that and sore boobs. It was high and firm did a test the next day and yep BFP

superconfused1 · 07/11/2020 12:49

@IloveZoflora I haven't actually, maybe I'll give that method a go? Xx

Go on eBay and get the dip tests, you can get like 5 for a pound. I used one when I thought I was pregnant a it worked.

byebyeboyee · 07/11/2020 12:51

If your TTC then I'd recommend getting them all the way

Cutekittens · 07/11/2020 12:54

Maybe get another one
Try just get one from Asda or Morrison’s or even Superdrug or something

Give it another go :)

Really, this isn't sensible. You may give yourself an infection and cause problems if you are pregnant. I know the wait is difficult, but really the best and safest way is to wait until a miss period (or a day or two before), then do a test.
Miip · 07/11/2020 12:57

Good luck.

Derbee · 07/11/2020 13:01

Ignore people like @RaspberryCoulis, OP. You don’t need to apologise for posting in any forum that you want to. People OFTEN post in AIBU as it gets more attention and responses than many of the other forums.

iklboogeymum · 07/11/2020 13:12

YABU just for posting this in AIBU rather than on a pregnancy forum.
