The next few months - and years, who knows how that will play out. But for tonight, I may well also start re-watching The West Wing for a respite.

I've never watched it Fiderer, but I've taken out an All4 subscription for that express purpose.

Wonderful series of threads, thanks to all contributers.

It is fabulous looking at all the celebrations going on in the streets. And not a gun toting redneck on the back of a pick up truck to be seen. That's what we were dealing with the last four years.

I know it won't be easy, but it is great that Trump is gone. Biden is a gentleman with vast experience of politics and foreign policy etc.

We will deal with the bumps in the road as they are met. It won't be Trump dealing with them. Great day for America. That country deserves to celebrate today. I salute them.

Bloody crying again. I was on these threads when we were watching Trumps inauguration ceremony together and stayed for a long while until I became too dispirited by it all. So so happy to be here with you all on this bloody brilliant day!

I've also got some Brexit/Johnson supporting family who seem to be delighted Trump is gone, judging by FB.
