If you were given a shopping list with dairy milk on it what would you buy?

Would you buy the much needed treat your DW had looked forward to eating all day. Or would you, like my DH, buy 6 pints of milk assuming the "dairy" was to differentiate between different varieties of milk! First and last time DH is entrusted to do the weekly shop unsupervised!

Why didn’t you just write “chocolate” and add Dairy Milk?

Really? I am surprised so many of you thought ACTUAL milk 🤣. Who calls actual milk “dairy milk”?!

Lots of people. Me for one. My preference is oat milk. Most of my family prefer dairy milk. So if I had a shopping list with dairy milk written on it, yup Id come back with cows milk.

I am honestly shocked by how few people would buy Cadbury’s dairy milk but then I am a chocoholic so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have written nice biscuits and got Nice biscuits before - which luckily worked for what I was using them for and was completely understandable. I sometimes can’t even work out my own shopping list though so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone else couldn’t.

BritwifeintheUSA that would make so cross! I used to live overseas where the chocolate was rubbish. I know how disappointing that would have been!

My husband would probably have done the same.

I saw a woman complaining recently about her husband who had been asked to bring some frozen yoghurt home.

That's hilarious! And kind of logical! I think I'd have put chocolate then in brackets the dairy milk tbh. Because I'm picky & only like Galaxy or Bourneville .
