What's your claim to fame? *lighthearted*

Inspired by an article I've just read online whilst waiting for my train, AIBU to ask...what is your claim to fame? The weaker the claim the funnier, such as "I dated Margaret Thatcher's cousins drama tutor" e.g. But any will do.

I'll go first. I served Gary Cahill (footballer) once as a waitress; he came into the budget restaurant I worked at...and didn't even foot the bill!

A bit of a silly post I know, but the article I read had me giggling. If this post makes at least one person giggle that would be great Grin - I think we're all in need of a laugh right now!

Olly Murs brushed past me in a motorway services (Chieveley I think).

I went out with the brother of the lead guitarist in Del Amitri.

I saw Keith Chegwin having a fag and a coffee at Hendon services, and sat at the next table to Max Beesley at South Mimms.

My job takes me to many many service stations.

When I was about 7 I stuck my tongue out at Noel Edmonds because I hated him. He saw me and looked annoyed.

AliceAforethought · 03/11/2020 20:37

Oh, and served Mark Lamarr in a pub, too.

My sister and I had our photo taken with Bruno Brooks when he opened the local Prossers back in the early 90s. Also Danni Minogue came to my senior school, I was with my friends at the front of hall where she was singing. She was lovely but
None of us knew who she was at the time.

I used to buy hay for my horses from a chap who sat next to Simon Pegg at school.

Jamiriqui (sp?) once waved me across the road on Sloane Square.

My DD shared a hay bale as a seat with a then teenage Zara Philips.

BIRDSbirds · 03/11/2020 20:59

My name got drawn out of a hat as a teenager to be on Blue Peter testing out the new rollercoaster at Alton Towers. I didnt get to go as my parents didnt return the permission slip in time.

I also played at a gig opened by Roy Wood (ok it was a local summer fete near where he lived, I played in the wind band as he cut the ribbon. Rock n roll)

KatianaLindsdottirsGhost · 03/11/2020 21:05

Patrick Moore showed me and my family round his garden.

Lenny Henry once waved to me.

My DH's uncle is a reasonably well-known US Senator.
