To have very specific pyjama criteria?

I’ve been searching high and low for new pyjamas and almost every type that I see has something I hate.

These are my criteria:

  • NO elasticated cuffs/ankles
  • NO fiddly details like lace or ribbon
  • NO button-up tops
  • NO “winter” pyjamas with a t-shirt top
  • NO rigid fabrics (I like a decent amount of stretch)
  • NO garish colours or prints

I literally just want normal neutral PJs with a plain long sleeved top and normal straight/wide leg bottoms with either an elasticated waistband or a drawstring so that they stay up and don’t end up sagging down around my arse. Preferably made from a nice soft and flexible jersey fabric.

Does such a thing exist?

Have you tried Cyberjammies? They are amazing! Many have button up tops (which I like!) but not all do. Definitely some would meet your criteria.

Try cyber jammies. The ones I have do have slightly elasticated ankles but others don’t but they are the softest things I have ever owned!

Another one here saying you need men's Pyjamas. All mine are from the men's section and it's honestly changed my life.

I have several pairs of M&S cheapo ones which are really comfy jersey ones with no cuffs but mine have short sleeves, not sure if they do similar but with long sleeve.

Not cheap, but can be washed at 60°, keep their shape and last for ages

Those figleaves ones look amazing, I'm asking for those for Christmas. Anyone know What is the sizing like? I wear 12 on bottom 14 on top so not sure which to go for...

Gjk917463 · 18/11/2020 07:46

I have size 14 in the figleaves and I’m a 12/14 and they fit fine. They are very soft and stretchy so I think a 14 would fit well for you.

I’ve got a jersey top pj from Lands End. Bottom is checkered and very soft.

I'm coming back to this thread having ordered a couple of pairs from Pajama Pantry and can confirm that they are as lovely as suggested. Beautiful patterns, nice light cotton, pockets, and smart enough to waft around the house without looking too 'I haven't got up yet'. I can see myself living in these when the weather gets warmer. Flowers for the recommendation!
