Hi all
In a bit of shock but need some opinions!
So for the past few days ive had some leaking of colostrum type liquid both breasts, I'm 39 and have had 5 kids , new partner of 3 years no contraception ; he couldn't have children! Well after the leaking came these rolling movements in my upper abdomen between my belly bottom and my ribs on the right side , i videoed it to see if it was visible and it was ! I phoned the GP who was very dismissive and then said well just take a test, wouldn't see me to examine due to covid . Done a clearblue digital and it says pregnant 1 to 2
With the movement and leaking could I be further along? I have had light but regular periods for months I track them using the clue app. Thanks x

Yeah i thought that, it said you must bring your notes and one other adult is permitted , i wonder if I ring and explain they will book me in anyway?

Congratulations 🥳

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2020 01:32

I bet they will @browny1981.
I had a private scan earlier in the year that said the same but they never actually asked for my notes.

Inkpaperstars · 31/10/2020 01:39

Yes, they probably just meant that it's useful to bring your notes if you have them. Now with covid a lot of people aren't seeing anyone face to face to be given any notes until later than usual.

toiletpaper · 31/10/2020 02:37

I had a private 4D scan with DD about 8 years ago and they didn't ask for notes or anything along those lines. Very exciting OP I can't wait to hear the news when you get a scan.

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 31/10/2020 07:33

I never needed notes for private scans. Definitely phone them.

How old are you, op?

covetingthepreciousthings · 31/10/2020 07:38

Shamelessly placemarking Grin this is a lovely thread, congratulations to you and Your DP.

ForTheLoveOfHalloween · 31/10/2020 07:51

Congratulations! I'd be desperate to find out, I'd have to go for a private scan.

WiggleSquiggle · 31/10/2020 08:34

I’ve had to take note before for private scans, but I don’t think everywhere is the same, so you could check around. Exciting!

LittleMissLockdown · 31/10/2020 08:54

Sorry to hear you had difficulty getting a private scan I would 100% ring back and explain you actually have no idea how pregnant you are and you're not sure when the NHS will offer you a scan.

I'm sure they will be understanding. I would imagine asking for notes is just common practice as they will assume most people have already booked in and once you explain they will be only too happy to help.

Good luck Smile

I had a private scan last weekend and they asked if I had notes with me but didn't want to see them. Definitely call and find out! Good luck op!

GrandTheftWalrus · 31/10/2020 09:11

I went for a private scan at 8 weeks. I didn't need any notes as I didn't even have any.
