Lots of us struggling with dc atm. Me included!! Today I am off work and promised ds we would make use of the Disney plus I paid for ages ago!!
Dd15 offered to make lunch..
So I am sat watching Beauty and the Beast eating left over pie and a jacket potato!
What has your dc done to restore your faith in them lately?
Ds 19 has just come and given me a huge tight hug so my day is going swimmingly!!

My dd who is 7 helped me pick up some furniture. It was so awkward to get in the car but she helped and guided me to make sure it did not damage the car or hurt me trying to lift it in. She held on to it all the way home and when we pulled up I realised her hand was bright red. She said it hurt to hold it as it was so heavy but she did it anyway because she didn't want to let go incase it slipped into the front and make me crash or hurt me.

DD(7) shared her smarties with me earlier
And she really loves smarties!

This thread is just beautiful! Gives those of us who are struggling some hope!

DD(9) spent ages making tomato soup for everyone for lunch today from scratch (her first try) and set a "fancy" table for us all with a festive tablecloth and napkins. After lunch she packed up two portions of soup for her grandparents, labelled them and delivered them with DH.

Thank you to the poster who mentioned the Secret Garden. DC1 and I watched it this evening. Very enjoyable, despite having to explain cholera to a 5 year old!
