Step away from the oubliette!!

AriesTheRam · 27/10/2020 08:52

🤣 hes so dramatic with it because he only gets poorly "once every 5 years"

Why are you messing around on mumsnet when you've got a patio to dig up ?

FallonsTeaRoom · 27/10/2020 08:58

Yes, the dressing gown of doom has emerged from whatever pit it's been lurking in here, too. The shuffling started this morning. Along with the ”urrrrgh” noises for no reason.

I mentioned that I felt a bit under the weather last night. Hmm

AriesTheRam · 27/10/2020 09:22

I feel crap too but I'm carrying on as normal! I've told him to get out of bed as I'm not pandering to him from another floor Grin 6 yr old seems to be joining in, apparently hes got leg ache, back ache and stomach ache but apart from that he's fine

goldenharvest · 27/10/2020 09:25

Manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility? Murder takes planning.

GrannyWeatherwaxsBroomstick · 27/10/2020 09:32

DH takes to his bed for days when he gets a cold. The only way to cure him is to starve him out.
Don’t forget to bury him extra deep with a large dog half way up to confuse the sniffer dogs and ground penetrating radar (may have over thought this last flu season 😁).

Ponoka7 · 27/10/2020 09:32

Is it murder? Surely it's a case of not being able to stand to see anything suffer and you're putting him out of his misery.

fuckfuckingcovid19 · 27/10/2020 09:34

Oh god just leave him in bed so you don't have to listen to the moaning Grin

AriesTheRam · 27/10/2020 09:37

@goldenharvest yes! Brill idea

Would we be laughing about this if a man tried to justify murdering his wife? "Well she moans too much...."

Sorry you're having a hard time OP, but domestic violence is not something to joke about. A friend was murdered by her husband, and this was his defence.

MinnieJackson · 27/10/2020 09:43

Haha love your little one, mine always says I've got a leg ache or a toe ache even and I say oh we can't go to the park then and he soon chirps up lol

AuditAngel · 27/10/2020 09:55

Mine was also doing the shuffle last night,I want to tell him to pick his fucking feet up. I went out to buy some medication (that I told him to go and get 3 hours earlier when local Boots was still open), he had said he didn’t want anything to eat, so DS and I chose something each.

When we got home he asked what “we” are eating......

WhatNameToChooseNow · 27/10/2020 09:57

Aches could be covid...

AriesTheRam · 27/10/2020 10:01

Forgot to say this is lighthearted.

Plussizejumpsuit · 27/10/2020 10:02

Yep totally legal. Has he got his dressing gown on?

100% agree with you.
Ylvamoon · 27/10/2020 10:07

I think you will be acquitted!

... being downstairs while he is slowly meeting his maker upstairs!

Mummyoflittledragon · 27/10/2020 10:16

Granny has it. Starving him out. Deniable accountability...

Ignoring the comments about if it were a man. If it were a man, we’d be worried precisely because it could be a very real threat. If you don’t like the theme of the thread, perhaps a lighthearted thread on this subject isn’t for you....

YouBringLightInToADarkPlace · 27/10/2020 10:22

If he's doing the Poorly Man Face I'd say it's legitimate...

He managed to force down some chips and is now asking the noises again

My male friend was moaning last week about man flu. We all rolled our eyes and said it was a cold - typical symptoms, sneezing, bunged up, general cold symptoms.
His wife is a bit paranoid and sent him for a Covid test. It was positive.
He didn’t have a temperature or cough or loss of taste/smell.
Covid can manifest in different people in different ways. Just sayin.

Mytimetokillandmaim · 27/10/2020 13:02

Well...what's the prognosis? Is he still eating chips and keeping his strength up ?🤣

nevermorelenore · 27/10/2020 13:08

If he's doing The Voice then it's legal.
