Someone (she/he/them who shall be nameless) suggested that if a thread was started with this title then it would get responses.

Is she/he/they/them/whomever being unreasonable?

I don't know. I'm too busy being hysterical.

elephantoverthehill · 17/10/2020 17:50

The chicken has every right to do what she wants. Honestly why are MNetters getting so chickenist! I despair.

lightlypoached · 17/10/2020 17:51

Because it/she/he/them was LTB?

shimmyshimmycocoapop · 17/10/2020 17:52

Because with all the ducks in a row they couldn't socially distance, didn't want to be called a covidiot so crossing was safest

iklboo · 17/10/2020 17:52

How DARE you presume it was a chicken?! You...you..you...speciesist

RationalOne · 17/10/2020 17:58

@JamieLeeCurtains

The chicken might be hysterical too. It's not all about you Wink

OP posts:
Delamalama · 17/10/2020 17:58

Why do you even care why the chicken crossed the road?!

RationalOne · 17/10/2020 18:00

@iklboo

Well if it looks like a chicken, walks like a chicken and quacks (what bloody noise do chickens make) like a chicken then am I incorrect to presume it's a chicken?

@Delamalama

I care; deeply!

This is why people don't support you, it shouldn't be about chickens crossing the road, it should be about all birds crossing the road.

iklboo · 17/10/2020 18:10

@RationalOne - it may not identify as a chicken. (They cluck. If it quacks it's a duck in drag). .

BlackeyedSusan · 17/10/2020 18:13

for some foul reason presumably.

RationalOne · 17/10/2020 18:14

@iklboo

I just love your reply!

The chicken sadly passed away and has now crossed over Sad.

puddled2 · 17/10/2020 18:17

To get to the other side obviously Wink

iklboo · 17/10/2020 18:19

Ay wallah.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
WitchSharkadder · 17/10/2020 18:21

Because it was running away from a Mumsnetter who wanted it to feed her family of 27 for a week.

I saved a chicken today crossing the road. True story. It walked out of the nearby farm and I had to shoo it off the road so traffic could keep going Grin

Trumpton · 17/10/2020 18:26

I was driving home from work the other day and could see no reason why all the traffic was backed up .
Chicks , lots of chicks running along the edge of the road . All traffic stopped until they were safe . I love living here .

AnswerTheQuestionDamnYourEyes · 17/10/2020 18:28

It's all part of the cunning plan

Riapia · 17/10/2020 18:33

Because there is no lockdown on the other side.

Swingbin · 17/10/2020 18:37

It was being carried in a kfc bargain bucket.

RationalOne · 17/10/2020 19:14

@Riapia

Ah but did it come from a Tier 3 to a tier 1 then (hence no Covid)

Anyway, do chickens get Covid?

OP posts:
lightlypoached · 17/10/2020 19:20

That chicken needs to watch out or it will end up feeding a family of 12 for a week. Grin
