Aibu to tell you about my quick awesome lunch...

2 slices of wholemeal bread..toasted. Good spread of lurpak on each. A fried egg on each, good bit of tomato ketchup and then topped with Batchelors baked beans. So good. What did you all have for lunch?

*I personally wouldn't say 'spreadable butter' as there is more variation. If you put that on a shopping list you could end up with a 'buttery spread'.

I'd say spreadable butter. I certainly wouldn't confuse it with ghastly 'buttery spread'. I'm willing to tolerate a small amount of oil in my butter for ease of sandwich-making, but I'd rather have no butter at all than those spookily-textured fake buttery substances!

Little query here - are you finding some days you're having e.g. salad or like me tinned soup (Parsnip Baxters) with seeded pumpkin ryvita (x 2) with pro active and a small Yeo Valley yogurt or are you doing carb heavy stuff?

one close friend keeps posting - Steak and Ale pie with mash, then with chips etc - and I just know if I have that for lunch and then something else for dinner carb heavy I'll pile on the pounds!

Last night had a jacket potato, cheese and beans and salad which I don't often do and it was really yummy - potato wasn't a huge one - just medium sized.

Nothing today. Not proud of it. Stressful day at work that made me nauseous. Will make up for it tonight.

A ham salad sarnie on a soft white breadcake from the sandwich shop near where I was working today. Filled me up but I'm Hank Marvin now!

white bread sandwich with mortadella and mustard mayo; slice of spanich tortilla and 2 plums. Bliss

mortadella and mustard

Why on earth would you want to ruin the delicate flavour of mortadella like that ?

Passthecake30 · 15/10/2020 19:01

Boiled eggs and wholemeal toast.
I love wfh when no one is here, I can have whatever I want, no judgement (not that it would stop me anyway)

Absolutely fried eggs and beans should never touch. The idea of them touching makes me shudder.

Breakfast with these items need a sausage barrier. I am a big fan off the sausage barrier. Two sausages down the middle of the plate with foods that should not touch on either side.

Absolutely. I make sure of that by not having beans. Can't stand them. Grin

mustard mayo! Mainly mayo with a drip of mustard.

[wonders if i should admit to the chilli gherkins on the side]

Because it's personal choice perhaps?

This is why a sausage is required. Correctly positioned it acts as an effective barrier between the egg and the beans.
