That Andrex toilet roll packs actually have instructions on how to wipe your bum? I mean really?.

OP posts:
RobynTripp · 11/10/2020 12:15

I have to ask, what does it say?

ValidUser · 11/10/2020 12:16

YABU. I'll have you know my cousin's friend's dog's godfather died because he didn't know how to wipe his bum. AngryGrin

Hadalifeonce · 11/10/2020 12:18

Does it say to fold or scrunch?

LagneyandCasey · 11/10/2020 12:20

museumsandgalleries666 · 11/10/2020 12:27

Do you work for andrex marketing department, trying to get people to buy toilet rolls?

Is it bad that I'm now worrying whether I've been doing it wrong Confused

CounsellorTroi · 11/10/2020 12:31

Never read the loo roll pack as it's in the cupboard but it has instructions on Andrex Washlets, which is out near my loo.

Apparently you should 'use 3-4 sheets of loo paper per wipe, wipe from back to front until clean, use 1-2 washlets to feel cleaner and pat dry with toilet tissue'. It also then tells you to wash your hands with soap.

So yeah, it seems Andrex does think we need to be told how to wipe our bums.

It doesn't however, tell you if you should scrunch the loo paper or fold it.

pigsDOfly · 11/10/2020 12:38

Ah, see you've uploaded a photo OP.

Unfortunately, I couldn't as I don't know how to.

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 11/10/2020 12:40

Oh thats funny

Dd asked me the other day how many fingers i use 😳

LagneyandCasey · 11/10/2020 12:40

Washlets are gross. We're not supposed to flush wipes so surely they have to go in the bathroom bin? 🤢🤮.

I just wet a bit of loo roll if I need to. Does the job.

ShSpecialFriends · 11/10/2020 12:42

Aah, but it's only there to convince you that just wiping with toilet paper isn't enough! It's not instructions, it's subtle advertising...

pigsDOfly · 11/10/2020 13:00

Putting a washlet in the bin is no different from putting a tampon in the bin.

You clean yourself with loo paper and the washlet is just to freshen you up, there isn't any poo or anything on them, well, there shouldn't be if you use them correctly.

anuffername · 11/10/2020 13:28

wipe from back to front until clean

Surely not?

RobynTripp · 11/10/2020 13:37

Surely not?

No, from front to back
anuffername · 11/10/2020 13:40

@pigsDOfly said that the washlet instructions were:

"Apparently you should 'use 3-4 sheets of loo paper per wipe, wipe from back to front until clean, use 1-2 washlets to feel cleaner and pat dry with toilet tissue'. It also then tells you to wash your hands with soap."

Oops. I need to concentrate more when I'm typing; that of course, should be 'wipe from front to back'.

I once bought a duvet, from Asda, that had instructions on it to tell the buyer how to open the bag and unfold the duvet.

Sunnydaysstillhere · 11/10/2020 14:45

Ds 11 announced yesterday he had put 2 loaves of toilet roll in the bathroom..

The allergy advice on tinned tuna that it contains fish cracks me up every time.

anuffername · 11/10/2020 15:10

@pigsDOfly

Thanks for the clarification

I wondered if I had been doing it wrong all my life Grin

pigsDOfly · 11/10/2020 15:18

@anuffername

Probably better not to try to make sense of anything I type. I'm always getting things back to front - see what I did there Grin
