That Andrex toilet roll packs actually have instructions on how to wipe your bum? I mean really?.

It tells you two things

1. use 2-3 sheets. A useful instruction as I suspect a lot of people use a lot more, which is a waste of paper and more likely to cause problems with the pipes

2. wipe from front to back, which is an instruction repeated in all sorts of medical situations, and in any magazine article about cystitis.

So it's an easy laugh, but I don't think it's unreasonable.

I wouldn't have thought it necessary until I read a thread somewhere (here on MN?) where people were describing how they wiped, and they didn't know you should wipe front to back. So now I'm no longer surprised!

Also, it seems like it was mainly a way for them to encourage you to use more of the loo roll and the moistened wipes. Basically a marketing ploy.

Oh thank God. I've been trying to figure out how to wipe properly for years now. What did people do before Andrex and their incredible wisdom?

Is that to get people using the "washlets"?

Also 3-4 per wipe, use a washlet then wipe again??

If it's good quality, why would you need three squares, let alone four??
