I've relented.

I've let the big, slobbery, smelly and gorgeous 4 legged thing that we call a dog get up on the settee with me.

He's settled down with a HUGE contented with his head on my lap and I've spent the last half hour stroking his silken ears.

DH thinks I'm a soft touch, I think DH is jealous!

Trouble is, he begs to differ. And he's pretending not to hear me.

And he's VERY relaxed & releasing the most god-awful smells.

But I love him...😍

Frankly foggy love is the best there is. I don’t miss my ex wife. I do miss my dogs (even tho I still see them).

My Ddog thinks he's a lapdog and will sit perched and wobbling on your knees for cuddles. He's quite big really and doesn't fit ha ha!
He is a massive cuddle bug too, I've never had a dog so cuddly before either and it's a really lovely feeling having them fall asleep like that.

He's a good boy and will stay off furniture if you tell him so he can be dried or de-yucked if need be but love the "blanket of permission" from a PP I have small lightweight blankets on my couch so I can wash them if they get grubby and stop the couch from getting scratched by his big paws.

I love these threads, they melt my stone cold heart, everyone’s dogs are adorable, lovely pictures, and yes there is nothing like cuddling on the sofa or snuggling in bed with them, I’m at my most content on a lazy afternoon snuggling with my dog, pure bliss.

We have 5 dogs and they all go on the sofas and sleep on the bed. We have big sofas and a massive bed - super king sized beds in Canada are bigger than in the UK. They're all super cuddly with us and each other and we can't imagine it any other way.

No room on the sofas for humans!

My two huskies would look at me like I'd gone mad if I said they weren't allowed on the couch. They only get kicked off if I have a snack that I don't want a paw in (one is a menace when it comes to food).

This is their home too. Couch and beds are not off limits, although only one chooses to come up on the bed. The other has found her favorite corner so she can see down the hall to the kids' room too.

This is my our Gracie. She was my mom's dog. She had to be PTS for neurological problems on the same day that RBG died. We knew it was coming, but I still cried my eyes out when my mom told me.

She was perfect. Stubborn, always hungry, and so needy. She also had terrible gas. But she was so loving. So good with the kids in our family.

Boxers are such lovely dogs. And, now I'm crying again! Ugh!

Yup, 5 dogs here, and we have a saying in our house - "first they steal your heart, then they steal the sofas"!

Our Jack Russel shares our bed, I really don't care what anyone thinks about that, she's fab at keeping my feet warm!

Same, and we have two! One sleeps on the bottom of the bed and the other sleeps on one of my DH's pillows. We hadn't planned it but ended up this way. We have a huge bed thankfully! It's actually really cosy and makes me feel happy knowing they are comfortable and safe with us

I love dogs with character. My retrievers and labs have all had their own quirks as well. My current ine has must been hitting my arm with his tail whilst grinning over his shoulder at me! Dogs are the best

He’s gorgeous and has found his rightful place. Only good things can come from this. Your DH needs to accept the dog comes first. Mine has.

My mum's jack russell is the snuggliest dog I've ever known. She sleeps with me when I visit and starts the night down the duvet round my feet somewhere, but wriggled her way up during the night so I usually wake up with her face on the pillow next to me.

She also lives spending an evening under my mum's top, especially if she has a fleece on. She nudges at my mum's waist with her nose, and that's a sign for my mum to lift up the hem of her top for the dog to squeeze in.
