So who prefers Bayliss Big Hair to the Revlon one?

@CarrieBlue

I won’t buy any Dyson products at all, he doesn’t deserve a penny of my money when he’s had quite enough of my taxes.
Good point. I bought mine a while back. I would struggle now. I have spent the afternoon failing to find a frying pan made in the UK! I'm going to look in charity shops instead.

He can go fuck himself.

I received one as a gift. I love it. My hair is so much easier to style. It looks glossy and in great condition.

My hair has always been problematic, frizzy and dry.

I have always been crap at styling hair. My air wrap makes me look groomed.

jajabanks · 10/10/2020 22:11

Not got the wrap but for the dryer and I love it! Got on QVC with intention of sending back but as I got to grips with it, every time I did my hair (just normally) my husband said oh your hair looks really nice, and kept commenting each time -hes never commented on my hair unless I get it done at the hairdresser (which is very rare) so I kept it and love it. Wouldn't say it dries in any quichker but dries it berter- now doesn't go frizzy after 10 mins of me doing it. I'm not bad at shaping my hair but if not or needed extra help with it, I'd probably get that too.

jajabanks · 10/10/2020 22:12

Oh my hair is thick and frizzy normally

RonaLisa · 10/10/2020 22:53

I also forgot to say that I leave mine to dry naturally until it's about 3/4 dry, and then finish it off with the Airwrap (so it's having much less heat overall - I used to have to blow dry it upside down, then use heated rollers/straighteners).

RonaLisa · 10/10/2020 22:53

Also bought mine via Dyson, so I could send it back if it was no good!

Jalapinot · 16/10/2020 19:37

Just got mine and am thrilled with it! Used it this morning for the first time, have been out and about and when I got home this evening DH asked if I'd had my hair done. I have hair just touching my shoulders that is generally really frizzy. I got mine off eBay though so paid quite a bit less than retail.

amusedbush · 16/10/2020 20:06

I had one and it was rubbish on my hair. It’s long, average thickness and naturally curly but it’s fairly compliant in that it straightens well and keeps a wave with a tong.

The smoothing attachment didn’t smooth - I still had to straighten it afterwards. The curling attachment blew hot air into my roots and made them frizzy, and it took so long that the first curls had dropped out by the time I’d worked my way around my head.

I had it for four months and sorely regretted spending the money on but thankfully I got a refund anyway because it blew up in my hand. There was a bang, a spark and it died. I was not unhappy with the outcome Grin

Toughtips · 16/10/2020 20:27

Bathrobe curls work really well you've just got to make sure you wrap them properly. Think french plait with a bath robe.

IloveJudgeJudy · 16/10/2020 21:18

I already had the hairdryer and really wanted to love it but I was so disappointed. The curling wands really dried out the ends of my hair quite badly. It's taken them a long time to recover. I did like the smoothing brush. I sent it back. The curls didn't stay in, either.

The hairdryer otoh - fantastic, game changer.

IceniWarrior · 16/10/2020 22:35

What about Revlon or Babyliss? Are they better? I've decided against a Dyson.

The Revlon One Step is on offer on Amazon and Boots at the moment (down from £60 to £40).

I was going to use my Boots Advantage card points to buy it but it's out of stock on Boots. Still available on Amazon.

It may be ever cheaper on Black Friday.

IceniWarrior · 17/10/2020 08:24

Settling on Big hair but now I see there are two! Bighair care and Bighair. I'm thinking the former but not sure why.

I have the round Revlon Onestep (bought to replace the terrible airdrop Grin) and it's AMAZING. Seriously worth every penny.

It has stiff and smoothing bristles so I look like I've stepped out of a salon every time I dry my hair. The Big Hair that I tried a few years ago one had soft bristles so it made my hair huge and frizzy, not smooth and sleek.
