To hope Trump actually does catch COVID?

AlternativePerspective · 05/10/2020 21:28

I said all along that this wasn’t real, that this was a publicity stunt so that he could say he’d been through it and this was just proof that COVID wasn’t anything to be afraid of. And now he’s leaving hospital and has said:

"Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!!"
So now he’s saying that he’s come through COVID without issue (after a three whole days,) I hope he actually catches it so he can be exposed as a the liar and fraud he actually is. FWIW I don’t wish him serious illness or worse, just that COVID comes calling to expose him....

The president of the US affects many people’s lives around the world.

I don't like the man at all but I live in the US. Why do any of you care, he doesn't effect you lives. I could care less how Boris Johnson runs your country. It isn't my business. Please don't feel for us, we will manage just fine.
They can express their opinion all they want, i don’t mind I like to hear what they have to say. And yes I am a u.s. citizens, born and raise in Virginia with Virginia ancestors (just about all of them) all the way back Jamestown. I don’t care for trump myself

He looks to be very ill. He's using his shoulders to try to pull in air, he's taking gasps of air open-mouthed like a fish, and he's got a look in his eyes like he badly needs an asthma inhaler (or some oxygen). Something is going on in his lungs. I'm assuming the Covid has them really junked up. So unwise for him to leave the hospital. If he lets himself get run down now he has no reserve for when/if the disease takes a jump in severity later.

I have to look at that, my kids and I are asthmatic BUT he does have allergies so his nose could be stuffy
quarlly · 06/10/2020 03:20

I'm so glad he's ok. And I do like that he's trying to show everyone you don't need to be scared.

arcof · 06/10/2020 03:25

@Dumpypumpy they are trained to protect him from others. They are not expected to be killed by the person they are protecting. Jesus it's not a hard concept.

The same way you guys felt sorry for us when we had Maggie Thatcher for Prime Minister (!).

Tell that to relatives of people that died from COVID -19, and to those like myself with underlying health issues that are very very worried about catching the virus.
quarlly · 06/10/2020 03:35

@Gettinggrumpier if your already ill you could be scared of getting anything though, the flu, pneumonia, norovirus, everything would be worse for an already ill person. Even well people anything could potentially kill them , there's just no point living in fear constantly. There will always be something to be afraid of xx

To be honest, I have never heard of her although I heard of her name. Need to pay more attention.
BeaverTail · 06/10/2020 03:55

its made me laugh at the uproar of the security guards driving his car - these guys are trained to take a bullet for him
Yes, but typically the President isn't the one firing the gun at himself.

Your country is teetering on the brink of becoming a failed democracy. If worst comes to worst, it could reverberate around the globe.

jessstan1 · 06/10/2020 03:58

I think Trump probably does have Covid-19; my first reaction was that it was a hoax but it would be so difficult to keep it quiet for long.

He is out of hospital now and saying it wasn't too bad. He is very lucky is all I can say about that, especially considering his age.

I certainly didn't wish him dead, much as I dislike the man. My hope is that the American people will not vote him in again for another term.

Haha maybe i have watched too many Hollywood movies !

Nancydrawn · 06/10/2020 04:10

It's worth noting that the White House has a very serious medical unit inside. It has a staff of like 25 people, a crash unit, and pharmacy. It's not like he's going home to curl up in his sitting room; this is basically a transfer to another, if less intensive, medical facility.

Nancydrawn · 06/10/2020 04:10

(Also has consulting rooms and all sorts of other medical equipment.)

Darker · 06/10/2020 04:18

I think he’s come back to the White House so that he can force people to come and see him with less scrutiny and fewer restrictions than in the military hospital.

He looks very unwell to me. I wouldn’t want to be the one doing his hair and makeup for the next campaign video.

CJsGoldfish · 06/10/2020 04:20

He's just been transferred from one medical facility to another. He hasn't been discharged from treatment, the WH is extremely well set up medically.
You can see him struggling to breathe in the video currently circulating. He will be so dosed up on steroids and he is still having trouble.
He has the best treatment available, unlike most Americans. Hopefully, this tone deafness we expect of him will piss off the ones that need to be pissed off.
Everything just seems so staged. I think he's really ill but doing a 'Supreme Leader' spot of propoganda

SelkieQualia · 06/10/2020 05:08

He way he is breathing hard in those videos is a lot more than a stuffy nose! He is really in a bad way. If he is as early in the illness as he says he is, then he could get really sick over the next week or two.

Darker · 06/10/2020 05:13

This is what Fauci is saying.

It beggars belief that he’s risking other people’s lives to make himself look tough.

Pixxie7 · 06/10/2020 05:23

I don’t wish anyone ill, but I now have my doubts that he has actually got Covid-19.
A bit of a coincidence that he was diagnosed and treated in a few days, although he did have access to the latest treatment and round the clock medical care. I also find it strange that there has been no mention of his wife or children.
We will see what the next few days bring, but if it is a publicity stunt it makes him the lowest of the low.

Darker · 06/10/2020 05:26

He doesn’t look well, so I believe he has COVID.

His family will tow the family line. At least while he’s alive.

cbt944 · 06/10/2020 06:03

Narcissists really don't handle being ill; that's for 'weak people, not them.

I'm not surprised he's feeling fabulous on the dexamethasone:

I feel better than I did 20 years ago!!

That's how I feel whenever I'm on Prednisolone, another steroid. But after a week, it's another story.

I think he's insane to leave the Presidential Suite, so soon; but then he isn't sane, anyway.
