To hope Trump actually does catch COVID?

I said all along that this wasn’t real, that this was a publicity stunt so that he could say he’d been through it and this was just proof that COVID wasn’t anything to be afraid of. And now he’s leaving hospital and has said:

"Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!!"
So now he’s saying that he’s come through COVID without issue (after a three whole days,) I hope he actually catches it so he can be exposed as a the liar and fraud he actually is. FWIW I don’t wish him serious illness or worse, just that COVID comes calling to expose him....

I think he has got Covid but he has had access to all the latest drugs. However I hope none of his employees die as a result of his ignorance. Which IMO would be man slaughter.

I don’t think he’s faking it, but I do believe that he is much sicker than he is letting on.
He has been pumped with all kinds of steroids and drugs which have masked the effects of the disease.
He has now tweeted that he is going to discharge himself, so he will probably end up a very sick man.
He’s an imbecile

Such an imbecile that he goes on a COVID-19 joy ride in a sealed car with security guards while still infectious instead of staying in quarantine! 😕

He is totally insufferable, and I so wish he was at death's door instead of continuing to dole out his ignorant thoughts and beliefs. 🙄

This is where I'm at. He has a very strong sense that admitting to being anything less than 100% healthy is a sign of great weakness. So I don't think he's faking being sick but I do think he's faking how well he's recovering. The steroids that he's on are only given to patients who have Covid-19 in their lungs & can actually be more dangerous if given to a patient who doesn't. So it could be that the virus is still there, the question is if it'll take hold or not. Meanwhile the dexamethasone (steroid) is suppressing his symtpoms enough that he can be propped up enough to get back to the White House where he can still recieve treatment but with a LOT more privacy. Keep an eye on the news coming out of the White House over the next little while; is he giving campaign speeches or press briefings or is he going to be propped up for little photo shoots?

I'm sure he does feel great - he's been in the hospital on oxygen and hopped up on dexamethasone! He's going to crunk about 36 hours after he goes home, is my prediction. He already has junk in his lungs (his doctor said an x-ray showed 'the expected findings' and for Covid that would mean opaque spots) and there's his age to consider. The viruses might have been slowed down by the hospital treatment but they'll roar back.

I think he’s Ill but the steroids are making him feel euphoric and invincible. At least that was what the doctor on the radio was saying just now.

I wonder if the rather manic optimism is a side effect of the steroids. I know after a day or 2 of prednisolone (steroids) for severe asthma, I bounce around like a toddler with a sugar rush.

I think he's more likely to be faking; the conflicting stories about when he tested positive and how ill he is plus the super quick recovery! It just doesn't add up.

He could have just had it mildly though? Most people don’t get severe symptoms and his vitamin levels must be all top notch as he takes regular supplements I heard. Including vitamin d which there is a lot of info on as it seems to help in fighting covid.

@FishTaco101 The OP is not saying that. She's saying that she thinks the news that Donald Trump has Covid is fake and he's using it so that he can say that Covid isn't scary.

The White House has a full clinic in it, he’s going “home” to a private healthcare setting, that’s all. Being admitted at all is a sign his condition was serious.

I agree that the most likely lie is that he had it for a few days before it was announced which is why it seems like he got sick so quickly. I don’t believe 10+ military doctors would participate in a fraud like this, if they’re caught dishonourable discharge and losing their medical licenses are the bare minimum consequence. Trump might not be president for long and even if re-elected its only 4 more years. They can’t avoid justice forever.

He continues to be an ass. That insensitive and inaccurate tweet is exactly what i expected from him.

I wasn’t sure he had it, as how can you believe anything from him and those around him? However, I am leaning to more thinking he has got it and is more ill than is being portrayed. The video of him on the balcony this evening shows him with very laboured breathing. As others have said the steroid he is on could be giving a false temporary boost. Also I believe the second week is when some get worse. This story isnt over by a long shot. Please please may America vote him out.

I don't believe he's faking having Covid. I do believe that he's feeling better, but as others have said, high dose steroids can do that...temporarily...

All his videos this weekend i can see him taking sharp intakes of breathe between sentences - I noticed exactly the same when boris did a vid from Downing Street saying he was fine.
I hope he pisses his pants, his hair falls out and he gets even fatter after all those steroids. I even thought his hair looked a bit thin at the back as he walked away from camera. But suppose he hasn’t had his groomers with him .

He looked like he wasn't breathing normally to me when he stood outside the White House.

Plus all the steroids he's on will make him feel euphoric and mask symptoms of fever and illness. Once he has to taper down, the symptoms may well reappear.

I don't like the man at all but I live in the US. Why do any of you care, he doesn't effect you lives. I could care less how Boris Johnson runs your country. It isn't my business. Please don't feel for us, we will manage just fine.
