if you prefer snogs to sex?

Passionate Kissing is one of the best bits of a new relationship
but it often seems to be forgotten later on. I enjoy sex with my bf (this isn't about his skill in bed) but there is something more intimate and romantic in a good snog for me! I think when done really well there is a sensual magic that sex doesn't really have.

Meh, I enjoy it a bit for a little while but then it just gets boring and a bit bleugh

yelyah22 · 02/10/2020 18:05

I do love a good snog but I get bored and want to do the other stuff quite quickly haha.

Blulorry · 02/10/2020 18:06

I see what you mean OP. I think this about the foreplay part compared to sex too.

TheSandman · 02/10/2020 18:14

Frankly, after a year of sleeping separately from my wife, I'd settle for either - but you're right. The intimacy of the kissing and the slow cuddling caressing (postplay?) afterwards is far more important than the grunty sweaty bit in the middle.

lanbro · 02/10/2020 18:15

I bloody love a good snog and some heavy petting, can take or leave the penetrative bit!

BubblyBarbara · 02/10/2020 18:24

No thanks, it's the sort of nonsense that hormones make feel nice during courtship but a bit silly after you've got past a certain point and you want to be a bit more serious about life

Scbchl · 02/10/2020 18:26

@BubblyBarbara that's the most bizarre reply I have ever read about something on here ever 😂 kissing your husband or wife means you arent serious about life. Strange.

Brogues · 02/10/2020 18:26

Doesn’t have to be either or in my book. Love a good snog hopefully followed by sex.

thelastjuliet · 02/10/2020 18:27

@lanbro you get it! Smile
I wouldn't be able to have a relationship without any snogs
I think I might be a snogaholic lol!

Nuffaluff · 02/10/2020 18:33

Doesn’t have to be either/or. We had a very passionate kiss halfway through last night.
We never just snog anymore though, but it’s always a part of sex.

CorianderLord · 02/10/2020 18:43

Yes, love kissing

Duanphen · 02/10/2020 18:46

It isn't 1991 anymore. "Snog" makes you sound like a CBBC TV show. Ick.

Yes, it's a tricky one to keep going because you're usually greeted with a "well what would we do that for?" response.

thelastjuliet · 02/10/2020 18:46

@Brogues me too
but sometimes I like just have a quick snog sesh and a bit of frenching that doesn't have to lead to sex after

Ohalrightthen · 02/10/2020 18:48

Depends whether you're talking about tongue action. Love the passionate make out sesh. Hate french kissing.

Paul72 · 02/10/2020 18:50

I hugged and kissed (snogged) my wife about ten minutes ago. It is brilliant. It is personal, it is good. Enjoy.

FallonsTeaRoom · 02/10/2020 18:51

I agree, I do love a good snog.

Butchyrestingface · 02/10/2020 18:52

Nah, not cos I think it's for hormonal types but because kissing triggers my gag reflex. Definitely not the kisser's fault - I've tried enough. The fault lies with me entirely. Sad

On a related note, I think I'm really starting to warm to @BubblyBarbara. She gives excellent quote. Grin

Butchyrestingface · 02/10/2020 18:53

At least she didn't say 'nipping'. Saints preserve us.

TheGinGenie · 02/10/2020 18:53

I am really enjoying Barbara's posts this evening Grin

I like kissing and sex the same amount, a good snogging session is great!

BexR · 02/10/2020 18:54

I had the most amazing kiss millenium nye. Could actually feel sparks.

Sadly I ballsed up the rest of the night and he ran a mile feeling rejected.

I've never had a kiss like it since. Kissing my ex felt like a performance and he was an energetic tongue waggler.

SmileyClare · 02/10/2020 19:01

I would link snogging as a prelude to sex. Surely you're just getting yourselves all in a lather with French kissing if you just end it there? So you want to passionately tongue each other and then stop and carry on watching the news? Grin

Or maybe you're just hooked on the thrill of a new relationship, you know that early lust where you want to touch each other all the time.

Rapunzel91 · 02/10/2020 19:15

Absolutely agree with you OP!🙌

AyDeeAitchDee · 02/10/2020 19:17

Nope.

It's the warm up act/nice way to finish.

We kiss a lot before/during/after sex.

But it's not the best part of the sex.

thelastjuliet · 02/10/2020 19:30

@Ohalrightthen Shock how can u live without it! it takes kissing to next level when slip someone the tongue. surely you have only ever kissed bad kissers then?

I love kissing and the intimacy. DH sees it as foreplay so unless sex is on the cards he doesn't kiss. Unfortunately sex hasn't been on the cards for over 5 years!!. His choice.
