Hi all, new to this so forgive me if I'm doing it wrong, been clearing out my house and have got a issue, I've thrown away so much that my bin is rammed full, I will hold my hands up and admit I don't recycle much like my copies of the Sun and my magazines are all in the rubbish and when cuddly toys are in the way they to go in the rubbish. Anyway my wheelie bin is choka and I've two more bags to put in, the lid isn't even shut now, the top waste is cuddly toys so they should squash but they will not! Anybody got any suggestions for what I can do, I can't go to the tip as I have a one year old and I have nobody to look after her.

Thank you
Leighanne x

If you're scared of human interaction, empty your bin then recycle what you can. Bag up the toys and charity shop them. Problem solved.

CatPeach · 30/09/2020 09:51

Thought you couldnt go to the tip because you have a 1 year old?

Realistically what advice or tips are you looking for? People have posted good suggestions... not sure what else you think people will suggest?

Thatbliddywoman · 30/09/2020 09:52

@AriettyHomily

Why can't you take the child to the tip?

@TriciaMcMillan

Are we giving this credence then?
Well they've really tried, ticks loads of boxes Grin
Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/09/2020 09:54

You have zero contact with anyone at the tip ffs.
Recycle your crap, it isn't difficult.
Stop buying soft toys.

Leimarel · 30/09/2020 10:07

Recycling is the answer.
How do you get your daily newspaper if you shy away from human contact?

Ohtherewearethen · 30/09/2020 10:10

Nice try

Ohtherewearethen · 30/09/2020 10:12

Thing is, you're not new are you? You've probably been banned many times and you set up a new account and managed to get all the things that usually get strong reactions on here in just one post!

ForeverAlone1987 · 30/09/2020 10:23

Im not the judgy or bitchy type at all.. but you need to recycle everything that is recyable! Ive just had this convo with my neighbour. He was dumping EVERYTHING in my bin coz he had no space in his and was too lazy to recycle, and i had to sort it all out coz i couldnt fit my own rubbish in there. Of course your gonna get bashing comments for your post. Papers take up space in a black bin and obvioisly teddies and such. Can you not take the teddies and other bits to a charity shop? Also be careful with the bin men.. if they see other stuff in their thats not meant to go to waste, then they can refuse to take your bin. Just go through the bin and recycle everything you can and put stuff aside for charity shop

Derekhello · 30/09/2020 10:23

Righto

Brighterthansunflowers · 30/09/2020 10:23

YABU and ridiculous

There are two obvious answers. Either get your arse in gear and recycle (which you should be doing anyway) or take your daughter to the tip with you.

JaneJeffer · 30/09/2020 10:24

The Sun definitely needs to go in the bin.

sst1234 · 30/09/2020 10:26

@contrmary

Wait until it's dark and put the rubbish in a public litter bin. Technically fly tipping but if nobody sees you it's fine.

Only other advice is to try to squash rubbish down further - I assume you've tried standing on it in the bin to force it down?

Stupid advice
OverTheRainbow88 · 30/09/2020 10:26

We wait until all our neighbours bins are out on the road and put in our extra bin bag (usually into opposite who’d an old man and lives alone)

CatBatCat · 30/09/2020 10:33

Not scared enough of social interaction to buy all that shit in the first place.

sapnupuas · 30/09/2020 10:36

@TriciaMcMillan

Are we giving this credence then?
My thoughts exactly.
BashfulClam · 30/09/2020 10:40

There is next to no interaction at the tip Confused

You drive up and the guy stands at least 2 meters away and asks what you are dumping. Then tells you which skip bay to use. You drive into the bay, climb out and Chuck your rubbish in the skip then drive away again. No covid risk at all. Unless you lick the rubbish in the skip!

NancyBotwinBloom · 30/09/2020 10:42

You are unreasonable for buying the sun.

UrsulaPandress · 30/09/2020 10:45

If only you had twins ...

AranciaRosso · 30/09/2020 10:45

@NancyBotwinBloom

You are unreasonable for buying the sun.
What?

You think she really does that?

I'm bored and skiving off work. Smile

I don't even believe this thread is real.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 30/09/2020 10:54

Your general waste bin is for general waste, not toys and things that are perfectly good and can easily be donated or sold even! Paper does not go in the general waste bin so you'll just have to learn from this.

Angelina82 · 30/09/2020 10:55

This is rubbish alright.

1starwars2 · 30/09/2020 10:59

I can't be bothered to recycle /take to charity just isn't good enough. There are easy solutions to your problem that don't add to the huge climate change problem your child's generation will face.
Start recycling.
Problem solved.

Oh this is lame. I'm actually a bit embarrassed for you.
