Pooping flamingo - NO!

I went along with the poop emoji toys and the poopsie slime toy, but I’m becoming increasingly horrified about how far the toy makers are trying to push the making poo into toys craze.

The new pooping flamingo toy is just horrific. I’m no pearl clutcher, but a toy that comes with its own toilet and does a massive turd after you feed it is a step too far!

AIBU not to want turds turned into toys?

I saw this in Smyths last week- it made my sister and I snort like 7 year olds.

Not sure it would be a loved and constantly played with toy though. Funny for about three minutes and then cast aside for something with more open ended play options than a shiteing flamingo.

SunniCameHomeWithAVengeance · 29/09/2020 19:23

It seems there is a trend to make the most disgusting toy or game. I can't say I find it funny.

DisneyMillie · 29/09/2020 19:23

My 4 year old is desperate for one - not going to happen!

MsEllany · 29/09/2020 19:24

Ewwwwww. I’m a fan of toilet humour but where toys are concerned, I’m stony faced. Yuck.

Poorpigletsrevenge · 29/09/2020 19:27

I just think it’s horrible. What’s the next step? A vomiting turd?

It’s made me go all Mary Whitehouse about it and I don’t think of myself as a prude or dull. I just find it really awful.

Poorpigletsrevenge · 29/09/2020 19:39

Meh - not my thing, but the kids would probably find it hilarious as they're obsessed with poo and farts weirdos
Each to their own

lachy · 29/09/2020 19:46

DD would love it, but at the minute she's obsessed with bums, poos and farts.

She won't be getting one as I'm losing patience with fart, poo and bum jokes.

Itwasntme101 · 29/09/2020 19:47

I think the bath game "fishing for floaters" is the worst one 🤮

FlouncerInDenial · 29/09/2020 19:49

@AlwaysLatte. You buy one for me, I'll get one for you. Deal?

JaffaJaffJaffpussycatpuss · 29/09/2020 19:51

'A vomiting turd' Grin Grin

HunterHearstHelmsley · 29/09/2020 19:53

Its been a handy potty training tool in our house.

IncrediblySadToo · 29/09/2020 20:03

Thanks, that's one present sorted 🤣

My youngest god daughter will love it. She'll find the pooping & singing funny and she will
Love it copying what she says. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Poorpigletsrevenge · 29/09/2020 20:28

Oh no! Rather than whipping up a poo banning party I’m encouraging sales!

I guess I played with a doll that wees when I was a nipper, but this still just feels wrong.

AlwaysLatte · 29/09/2020 23:13

Ha @FlouncerInDenial it's deal! Grin

clevername · 29/09/2020 23:29

I'm a toilet humour kind of girl (I'm 39 but still can't help finding farts and poo funny) but I find these toys that poo or puke slime just gross. I got my DD one of those Poopsie Unicorn things for Christmas a couple of years ago and was horrified to discover it had a heart-shaped bumhole from which it was supposed to shit glittery diarrhoea. Envy

Poorpigletsrevenge · 29/09/2020 23:34

@clevername it is just weird isn’t it?

When did poo become a play thing? They’ve cutesied it up, but it’s still a turd.

I like it. I may have already orderedone for DD.

aLilNonnyMouse · 30/09/2020 00:27

These are nothing new. 15 years ago I had a unicorn stress ball thingie that "pooped" brown goo out it's arse every time you squeezed it. I had dolls that came with miniature toilets and tiny loo roll, and even a doll that would wet it's nappy.

Bodily functions have been a part of toys for many many years and it's unlikely to ever stop as children (and a decent number of adults) find it hilarious.

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 30/09/2020 00:32

What have I just watched?

🎵 Uh oh, gotta go. Uh oh, gotta go 🎵

DH and I just looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Crazybunnylady123 · 30/09/2020 01:01

Thanks. I’m going to try order one for my
DD too!
