Pooping flamingo - NO!

I went along with the poop emoji toys and the poopsie slime toy, but I’m becoming increasingly horrified about how far the toy makers are trying to push the making poo into toys craze.

The new pooping flamingo toy is just horrific. I’m no pearl clutcher, but a toy that comes with its own toilet and does a massive turd after you feed it is a step too far!

AIBU not to want turds turned into toys?

Yup my five year old is after this.

Just no.

BruceAndNosh · 30/09/2020 01:45

Is there some sort of safety mechanism to ensure it only poops in the toilet?
What's to stop it shitting all over your carpet or clothes?

30daysoflight · 30/09/2020 02:22

Have you seen 'The Turds' ceramic collection.
Can't believe companies manufacture this shite Grin

honeyytoast · 30/09/2020 03:39

Not sure if this’ll make me sound all tinfoil hat, but there’s something really sinister about the insistence on and obsession with toilet humour in things marketed towards kids to me

honeyytoast · 30/09/2020 03:40

The title made me snort though

LunaNorth · 30/09/2020 04:26

What the..?

Is it a toilet training aid?

BlackberrySky · 30/09/2020 04:42

I can't stand any poo-based toys and don't have them in the house. It's unpleasant and really unappealing.

mumof2exhausted · 30/09/2020 04:51

Ha ha my kids saw this advert and want one! I’m not wasting £35 on a toy which weighs entertain for 5 mins but the reviews on the website I went on were all really good. I love that someone came up with this idea and it got signed off. What a job to create crap like this!

PatricksRum · 30/09/2020 07:11

I dunno.

I had a baby wee wee when I was younger. I'm not sure this is a new craze.

boriselbow · 30/09/2020 07:27

Loads of children have issues with pooing and end up with constipation etc. My DS would hold it for days and got quite ill. A toy like this might help

Poorpigletsrevenge · 30/09/2020 09:47

I don’t see how watching a flamingo giggle and take a dump could help toilet training?

@BruceAndNosh I don’t think it comes with a safety system to ensure the poo only goes in the loo. I imagine flamingo shite would be hard to get out of the carpet.

I hate pooing toys. I think it’s part of a drive to make everybody stupider! (Ok, I don’t really think that but such toys hardly broaden kids minds!) And have I understood it correctly? That once it’s had a poo you turn the poo back into food to force feed it again?! Gross!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/09/2020 10:10

These things never come with enough 'crap' to last past xmas day.

Imagine how gross it's going to get on the inside.

FloydWasACat · 30/09/2020 10:14

We saw the advert for this yesterday. Why, I mean why???? Even my son couldn't see the appeal and he is 11...my daughter on the other hand. Mummy! I want one! No!

Givemeabreak88 · 30/09/2020 10:15

Yeh I think the whole poo craze is a bit weird tbh, not something I will be buying for my kids.

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 30/09/2020 10:59

@Whatsnewpussyhat

I think the appeal is that the crap is reusable.

I never thought I would say that sentence.

Poorpigletsrevenge · 30/09/2020 13:28

@GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou Lol! That’s certainly a first Grin

Yanbu op I absolutely despise anything based on poo/vomit/snot bleurgh!! Just why?
I've always hated toilet humour though so maybe that's why. It's just so disgusting.
