Unconventional cruahes

Off the back of the thread asking about who you think is stunning. Who do you have a crush on that would make most people raise an eyebrow as they aren't what most people would call conventionally good looking?

I've always had a huge thing for James Gandolfini. If he was still around, he would probably be old enough to be my dad but I've always found him incredibly charming and just thought he was lovely.

Anyone else want to share?

Ben Hillman from Place in the SunBlush I love his Hawaiian style shirts and his cheeky crappy personality😂

notgreenfingers · 26/09/2020 19:34

Or rather cheeky chappy personality🤭

VerbenaGirl · 26/09/2020 19:36

Phil Jupitus!

SillyUnMurphy · 26/09/2020 19:36

Micky Flanaghan and John Torode cringe they do look a bit similar I guess.

doctorhamster · 26/09/2020 19:49

Gary Oldman

MeMyselfAye · 26/09/2020 20:20

Monica Galetti

slashlover · 26/09/2020 20:50

The Supervet! Animals seem to take to him straight away and I trust their judgement. Man + cute animal = crush.

If anyone knows who he is, mid 1990s Shawn Michaels.

John Oliver.

Yes!

Enterthedragons · 26/09/2020 20:52

Post Malone

ladybee28 · 26/09/2020 20:54

Stanley Tucci.

Would bed marry him in a heartbeat.

BillywigSting · 26/09/2020 20:54

Michael Sheen

He is old enough to be my father, slightly overweight, utterly chaotic and wholly and completely captivating.

I have no idea what makes him so attractive but he really really is.

BillywigSting · 26/09/2020 20:57

@SerenDippitty Mr Spok is wholly understandable.

So cool and logical. Put slimy cpt kirk in his place. Occasionally vulnerable.

I totally see it.

Notimeforaname · 26/09/2020 20:57

How has nobody said it yet??!
Christopher walken 🤣 He's a ride

Heidi1976 · 26/09/2020 20:58

Hugh Laurie

Belledan1 · 26/09/2020 22:31

Lionel Ritchie. Watched him on Glastonbury years ago and just something about him. Seems a nice man too.

CandyLeBonBon · 26/09/2020 22:53

Rowan Atkinson. As black adder. With Queenie

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 26/09/2020 23:01

Thom Yorke - even though he seems to be morphing in to Willie Nelson as he gets older

Taxiparent · 26/09/2020 23:02

Sam Elliott, saw him in Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze and there is just something about him.

The only time I even thought about Michael Sheen, was when in character as Lucien in the Underworld film series. But then, I have a theme; long dark hair and brown eyes.

@WiseUpJanetWeiss

James Spader when he was younger. David Mitchell, with the beard.

If there are more I’m clearly not going to admit it.

Oh yes, young James Spader!!
FOKKYFC · 28/09/2020 11:42

There's nothing of the unconventional crush about Spader. He was a technicolour-handsome H'wood leading man for at least ten-fifteen years. Same with Harmon.

Completely agree about Lee Ingleby. A v early role is a psycho hitman masquerading as a cop in a 'Jonathan Creek' episode, and I fancied him then. I think his missus is Myanna Buring who is v beautiful and is still the lucky one imho.

Paddy Considine has taken me to some very real places as a woman, over the years.
Another one who has been married to the same woman for about twenty years. Lucky lady - what I wouldn't give for one night with him.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 29/09/2020 15:38

There's nothing of the unconventional crush about Spader.

Really? I’ve always had him in the Christopher Walken bracket and everyone tells me it’s a weird crush.

Lots of people are claiming Alan Rickman as unconventional but I think he was pretty mainstream therefore didn’t add him to my confession. He was beautiful, even as Snape.

No-one’s fighting me for David Mitchell though, are they? Good. Just got to get past Victoria Coren...

CounsellorTroi · 29/09/2020 15:46

I totally get David Mitchell. Clever, witty, eyes to drown in. And a strokable beard.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 29/09/2020 15:49

I don’t like beards. Confused

Toilenstripes · 29/09/2020 15:52

Definitely Gary Oldman.

spikyplants · 29/09/2020 15:53

Paddy Considine looks a bit like Till Lindemann, and I've fancied him since way back. 😍

Robert Knepper as T-Bag, though...
