I used to hate anything with strawberry growing up.

mince
liver
kidneys
pork

still hate them

LockdownLump · 23/09/2020 18:36

Porridge - wish I liked it and still try it intermittently, but I can't get past the texture. It's fucking gross.

Mash - I can eat it now, but only if its got lumps in. I hate smooth mash.

Custard - hate hate hate it. Thick and gloopy.

woodlandwalker · 23/09/2020 18:36

At home, pork and liver. I always liked veg.
At school, almost everything in school dinners.

timetest · 23/09/2020 18:36

Rhubarb. I remember the nuns at school forcing me to eat it or I’d be making baby Jesus cry. I can’t bear to look at the stuff even after all these years.

Littered5 · 23/09/2020 18:37

Salami the smell of it alone still till this day makes me want to heave!

Kolsch · 23/09/2020 18:38

Vegetables of any kind.
Now I can't get enough of them.
Except turnip and swede.

CloudyVanilla · 23/09/2020 18:39

Raw tomatoes and cheese. Now I love both :)

M0mmyneedswine · 23/09/2020 18:41

Onions and mushrooms, i love onions now cooked or raw but still cant bring myself to even try a mushroom

LookBackInIngres · 23/09/2020 18:41

Pumpkin. At school (Africa) we'd be given it as a veggie with the main course and then be served it as fritters for pudding covered in sugar. WTF.

BikeRunSki · 23/09/2020 18:41

Offal
Pork
Lamb
Duck
Curry

I’m veggie now, but I love curry

Spiderbaby8 · 23/09/2020 18:42

Cheddar Cheese, I absolutely love it now but it seemed really strong and unpleasant as a child, I guess your taste buds are stronger maybe? There's not much I dislike now.

icedaisy · 23/09/2020 18:53

Haggis, hated it.

Then as a student went to friends parents home for breakfast. Her dad had made haggis and bacon rolls, I was shy and didn't want to say I hated haggis, absolutely loved it.

utterlynutty · 23/09/2020 18:55

Mushrooms
Liver
Kidneys
Potted haugh

passthemustard · 23/09/2020 18:56

Coconut 🤢

utterlynutty · 23/09/2020 18:56

*hough

AllPlayedOut · 23/09/2020 18:59

Garlic. Until I was in my teens I couldn't bear the smell of garlic. I couldn't even sit at the table if my family were eating garlic bread. Now I can't get enough of it.

peoniesandfreesias · 23/09/2020 19:03

Mushrooms, garlic bread and curry. Love them all now 🤷‍♀️

PenguinsOnParade · 23/09/2020 19:04

Almost all vegetables especially peas. Still hate peas now.

Tempusfudgeit · 23/09/2020 19:06

Mushrooms ... love them now!

TweeBree · 23/09/2020 19:09

Just the smell of garlic bread would make me heave, sometimes full on be sick. I couldn't go to italian restaurants until I was an adult.

schnubbins · 23/09/2020 19:10

Tripe and onions
Mashed carrot and parsnips
Soup of any kind

I would still refuse to eat Tripe.

ladykuga · 23/09/2020 19:12

Beetroot! Hate the taste, hate the smell, hate the texture AND even hate the colour.

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 23/09/2020 19:13

Red meat, especially lamb.
Any offal.
Root vegetables, my mother only every put them in tasteless watery stews.
School dinners. Apparently they were cooked* elsewhere & transported several miles to our primary school. Despite having an adequate kitchen on site.

I learned to cook at uni & now eat everything (except liver... shudder).

*Mostly mixed up from packets. It was all instant crap. Don't know why they couldn't do it on site.

OpEd · 23/09/2020 19:14

Gravy
Jam
Chips
White bread
Beef burgers
Bolognese sauce
Boiled potatoes
Roast potatoes
Mashed potatoes

Littlebutload · 23/09/2020 19:15

Carrots and parsnips mashed together, still wouldn't eat it now.
Rashers, still disgusting
