So if poor people want to meet their extended families could they just club together to hire some land and claim they are chasing foxes followed by a nice pub lunch after? Would they be fined?

You do have to wonder why many of those sports are exempt, as so many involve close contact.

Lockheart · 14/09/2020 23:17

@Sunnyset

They don’t even pretend not to take the piss. I burst out laughing when I read this, of course it will be exempt, bloody toffs.
Do you have anything to say about the extensive list of other organised sports which are also allowed?
MarriedtoDaveGrohl · 14/09/2020 23:23

@Ijustdontcare Thanks for this! I now have some fabulous ideas of new things to try! Octopush??!

As for the OP. Try being less chippy. It's much more fun I promise

TonytheDog · 14/09/2020 23:25

Lockheart I probably put as much consideration into my post as the Government put into the '6 people' rule.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 14/09/2020 23:29

@tonythedog

I doubt you have put any thought into any of your posts.

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 14/09/2020 23:30

@VeniVidiWeeWee no, you can’t shoot game on a Sunday. Or wildfowl in some counties. But you crack on with your prejudices. I’m not particularly prejudiced either way but I do know the law.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 14/09/2020 23:42

@msadorabelledearheartvonlpig

You said you can't shoot on a Sunday. You don't know the law.

NYMM · 14/09/2020 23:43

In Scotland there are no statutory restrictions on the killing of game on Sunday or Christmas Day but it is not customary to do so. Wildfowl species may not be shot on Sunday or Christmas Day.

Redyoyo · 14/09/2020 23:49

Shooting employs so many people in rural areas, how are the gamekeepers and the likes supposed to live without work?

VeniVidiWeeWee · 14/09/2020 23:51

BTW Where has the OP gone?

littlecatfeet · 14/09/2020 23:57

Honestly, quite a few posters in this sort of thread make me think ' ... and this is why we need a ruling elite'.

No critical thinking ability, and easily led by the nose by a headline.

Killing for fun is NOT sport. It should be banned and, where needed, dangerous animals should be controlled through designated teams only.

RunningFromInsanity · 15/09/2020 00:03

Sadly the first victim of the cubbing season was claimed this weekend when the Kimblewick Hunt threw a live fox into the hounds to be torn apart.

At this time of year it was almost certainly a cub, probably raised in captivity, thrown into the pack to prepare them for when the proper hunting season begins.

Footage shows the whipper-in smiling as he watched it.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 15/09/2020 00:05

@Totickleamockingbird

I assume you are a vegan. If you eat what you kill there isn't a problem.

RunningFromInsanity · 15/09/2020 00:07

Ah yes the vegan argument. Apparently watching an animal get torn to shreds for enjoyment is the same as eating animal products.

I am not a vegan. But I don’t kill for fun either. Just so you and your dogs can eat a ‘kill’, doesn’t make it humane.

Just cos you have to keep some dangerous criminals prisoners, you might as well torture them while you can.
And since all roads are for cars and vehicles anyway, how about we race on the motorways routinely?

Totickleamockingbird · 15/09/2020 00:11

Just because some humans are exceptionally sad and twisted in their minds, we shouldn’t allow hunting anymore.
There is no fucking excuse for hunting in the modern world. None at all.

lioncitygirl · 15/09/2020 00:11

🤦🏻‍♀️ That headline is click bait- and the guardian newspaper!? No thanks.

Totickleamockingbird · 15/09/2020 00:13

It’s obvious they have classified hunting as ‘outdoor’ activity.
What this article helps to highlight is the fact that our ruling class is full of miserable, sad and twisted bastards who feel entitled to enjoy outdoors through killing animals with their own hands and through their dogs.

Redyoyo · 15/09/2020 00:20

Where does it mention fox hunting? There is a massive difference between shooting on a estate and fox hunting.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 15/09/2020 00:22

@Totickleamockingbird

How about keeping the population safe?

What’s the difference between shooting a helpless life on an estate versus in a forest or woods? Which one is more humane?

Safe from whom? From the monsters who think shooting animals is a day out?
