sorry I know this has been done to death but I can't figure it out.

My ds woke on Monday with a heavy cold including a cough. Kept all dcs home and took him for a test. Self isolated until we got the results which were negative. Everyone back to school Wednesday.
Now today dd14 has woken with the same, now it seems obvious to me she's caught ds's cold but will school see it like that or does she now also need to test and all of us isolate again?

Yanbu ... send her in
Ya u.... test and isolate

Listen to yourself! It's not about me as an individual. There are 100s of people within a school! Think about the impact of the whole school shutting to the local community.

I can't believe we have just gone through the last 6 months and I'm having this conversation 🤦‍♀️.

@user1471530109 Chill out 😂

The problem is going to be test availability. It is quite obvious that households with children won’t isolate for 14 days multiple times. I’ve got a friend whose baby picked up a fever and then was sent home froM nursery and then older child from school. 3 days later they still can’t get a test, both children are 100% fine but and they are stuck at home and they’re back to juggling childcare and working. They are utterly pissed off but can luckily work from home Until they can hopefully get a test that doesn’t require a ferry. I can easily see why a family with a parent working out of the home would break isolation in the circs.

Why do people think it's ok for sick people to mix with other people. If you isolated when you were sick, we'd have a lot less sick people.

Imagine telling the track and tracers (which is coming into England this month)

Sorry, is track and trace not happening yet in England??

NerrSnerr · 11/09/2020 19:45

@Spam88 sorry it was me who said that. It is already happening but the App is going live by the end of the month. My mistake!

Ah ok! I mean I know Boris has made an absolute mess of the whole thing but I didn't think even he had let things open up again without track and trace 😂
