I've met Jimmy White too, seemed like a bit of a ladies man. Ronnie O'Sullivan and Ken Doherty, very pleasant. Simon Reeve the presenter, lovely, seemed a little shy. Saw Liv Tyler in the British museum. Saw some of Westlife at an airport, happy to have photos taken though they looked in a bit of a hurry.

Once met Sue Pollard in a bar. Was a right misery guts!! Def no hi de flipping hi!!

Not the Sue I met and I’ve met her a few times. If she is talking to someone she is really interested in what they are saying. There was a few years between meeting once and she remembered me and asked me about my daughter who was deciding where to train. Never mentioned herself once.

DENMAN03 · 10/09/2020 22:21

Camilla Parker Bowles and Margaret Thatcher. Both charming to talk to.

@CostaCosta

Tom Cruise.
What was he like? Very intriguing.
EmbarrassedUser · 10/09/2020 22:23

I once sort of met Meghan Markle. Funny story actually. I had a feeling she looked familiar (embarrassingly I thought she was my old neighbour) so decided to move a little closer to have a gander as I’d lent my old neighbour a book and wanted it back. Anyway, just as I was about to go and ask for it, I was simultaneously pulled back (I assume by security) as well as realising that it was Meghan. This was before she was with Harry and when she was in Suits. I still cringe at that memory.

user1494050295 · 10/09/2020 22:23

The Queen.

Commonwealth Games village walkabout, Edinburgh 1986.

HM stopped and asked me what I did (minibus driver for the Scotland team). I thought nothing of it until my face was plastered over the Scotsman and Evening News the next day. I did go into the Scotsman offices to order a copy.
