Skigal86 · 10/09/2020 06:22

Eddie Izzard or Slipknot

Eddie Izzard was lovely and stayed chatting to people who’d hung about after a set at a festival for ages.

Slipknot, I partied backstage with them once, they were all bonkers but a lot of fun!

maddiemookins16mum · 10/09/2020 06:24

Jill Dando. She was lovely, just lovely.
I was working abroad for a holiday firm and the Holiday program came to film (9 days), I was ‘escorting’ them around the Island. I remember my mum phoning me at work the day she was murdered.

WhoresDerves · 10/09/2020 06:26

@indemMUND Till Lindermann! My husband thinks he's brilliant, what was he like?

TopBitchoftheWitches · 10/09/2020 06:31

Diana Dors when I was about 4. Lots of others but most famous is the Hoff.

Ginfordinner · 10/09/2020 06:55

@BumbleFlump

Why are we writing lists people?! The thread title is Who is the MOST famous person you’ve MET not list every single fucking one of them, even if you only just spotted them from the top deck of the bus!

Just sayin 😉

Because it's hard to judge who is more famous.

Like other posters I had to google George Sampson because I had never heard of him, so he can't be that famous.

notsodimwit · 10/09/2020 07:03

Roxanne Pallet 😖 ..what you see is what you get!

gogojojo · 10/09/2020 07:09

Sir Ian McKellen in a pub - I embarrassingly squealed 'look it's Gandalf' really loudly and he came over and chatted - he's was rather pissed but one of the most charming people I've ever met

onlyconnect · 10/09/2020 07:19

Othering Gary Lineker "Pervy little letch"?! How disappointing, he's my celebrity crush!

Ginfordinner · 10/09/2020 07:28

DD met Henry Winkler when he visited her primary school.

Ian McKellen gave a talk at her secondary school when she was in year 13.

HeronLanyon · 10/09/2020 07:31

gogojojo once saw him on a Thames Clipper (boat) and had same (internal) Gandalf moment. Everyone on boat must have but no one said anything !
The sight of him - I mean Gandalf - in profile with the Tower of London and the traitors gate and thames all in the background was quite something ! Grin

rwalker · 10/09/2020 07:33

Jim Bowen worked in his house saw him on tele couldn't stand him. Worked in in house can honestly say one of the nicest people you could of met .

yetanothernamitynamechange · 10/09/2020 07:39

Brian Blessed. Really nice and huuge (and loud) - so basically as expected.

YouWereGr8InLittleMenstruators · 10/09/2020 07:40

The Queen
Keith Richards

threecatsandcounting · 10/09/2020 07:41

I've met a lot

Tom Hanks, Cyndi Lauper, Terry Gilliam, Sebastian Stan, Christoph Waltz

Too many to name really - some were absolutely lovely, some were horrendous!

Alittlepotofrosie · 10/09/2020 07:50

Some of these people are famous but... Julie goodyear's son? How is he famous? Julie Goodyear is barely famous any more Confused

ThirdTimeUnlucky · 10/09/2020 07:50

I went to school with Jay Kay (although not famous then but his Mum was) and I met Ricky Tomlinson (Jim Royle) who was arrogant. Seen a lot of other famous people but that doesn't count.

nosswith · 10/09/2020 07:51

Last year I met a present and a former Prime Minister. The former is now President of the European Council, taking over from the man who said there was a special place in hell for Brexiteers.

LucidaSans · 10/09/2020 07:52

Patsy Kensit, Hugh Laurie and Paul Boateng. Our children went to the same school.

badgerhead · 10/09/2020 07:58

Many years ago as a teenager, i'm in my early 60's now, my parents had Chay Blyth around for dinner before he gave a talk to the local Scout a district about his solo round the world sailing trip. I sat at the table with him, he was so interesting to talk to. He autographed hi autobiography for my mum, which I now have ☺️

baubled · 10/09/2020 08:01

Has anyone met Rod Stewart? He would be the one famous person that I would love to meet!

Burnthurst187 · 10/09/2020 08:05

Livpool · 10/09/2020 08:07
