I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

OP posts:
WhirlAndTwirl · 07/09/2020 23:14

Daisy (the young kitchen maid) from Downton abbey

Fruitflylady · 07/09/2020 23:23

Anakin “I hate sand” Skywalker; sulky, dreary, self-obsessed, entitled little squirt

Oh, and that reminds me....Upsy bloody Daisy....eurgh

Nearly47 · 07/09/2020 23:30

Carrie B in SITC too. But it could be the terrible acting. If Lydia of P&P was my sister I would slap her. Grin Also
Bella in Twilight. So selfish. Poor Jacob.

LionessRoar · 07/09/2020 23:31

Agree with all of these except Negan and Hagrid

MrsToothyBitch · 07/09/2020 23:36

@WhirlAndTwirl I hate whiny Daisy too!

SerenDippitty · 08/09/2020 00:19

Lynda Snell. Bossy, condescending snobby know all.

Krampusasbabysitter · 08/09/2020 00:50

Emma Bovary. Loathe that feeble brat!

Cookieedough · 08/09/2020 00:52

Gemma from Sons of Anarchy. Horrible character!
Never liked Piper from Orange is the new black either

EscapingFromWorkStress · 08/09/2020 00:57

Scarlett O'Hara

MummytoCSJH · 08/09/2020 01:00

Alex Karev and Callie Torres (Greys Anatomy) every time I see either of them I just want to slap them. When someone walks into a room and you grit your teeth and think... fuck.... off.... that's these 2 in a nutshell.

Never Amy March though, I adore her- only person to put that arrogant bitch Jo in her rightful place and she utterly did deserve Laurie, she took him in hand, they were just what each other needed!

Yes! Jo was such an unreliable narrator too.

ddl1 · 08/09/2020 01:30

For anyone with an interest in 19th century children's literature: we must NOT forget ghastly Elsie Dinsmore and her even ghastlier father!

On a totally different note: just about anybody in just about any of D.H. Lawrence's books!

'Never Amy March though, I adore her- only person to put that arrogant bitch Jo in her rightful place and she utterly did deserve Laurie, she took him in hand, they were just what each other needed!'

Totally disagree about Jo, but I think Amy does improve with age, and she and Laurie are good for each other. And I think Jo is much better off with Fritz Bhaer than she would have been with Laurie: with all the faults that both may have, they are much more equal partners than most 19th century couples.

PoprocksAndCoke · 08/09/2020 02:09

@KeithLeMonde

Has no-one mentioned Daphne Moon's cockney brothers yet?
Daphnes brothers weren't Cockley, they were from Manchester

According to DH anyone Hugh Grant plays (he hates Hugh Grant) and Bones from bones.
Lisa Simpson seriously annoys me as does Bella swan

UnRavellingFast · 08/09/2020 02:48

Bella from The vampire thing. . Does she ever walk? She’s always being carried ffs.

SJP in anything .

Ted in How I met Your Mother. Sexist whiner.

Ross in Friends. Whiny whiner.

Meredith Grey can fuck off

LadyOfTheCanyon · 08/09/2020 04:58

Frodo and Bilbo Baggins. That was a branch of the family tree begging to be lopped off. I'm not keen on any of the Hobbits to be fair, but at least I feel sorry for Samwise.

PhilSwagielka · 08/09/2020 05:37

I love Jo but am pleasantly surprised to see Any defenders here. She was a brat but she grew up, and she was bang on when she told Laurie off.

PhilSwagielka · 08/09/2020 05:38

AMY even. Derr.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 08/09/2020 06:25

Walter White from Breaking Bad.

Yes to Bridget Jones! Yes to Ally McBeal!

Yes to all the children in Outnumbered. Dh and I could never see the appeal of that show, it was too much like being at home.

reasonableme · 08/09/2020 06:36

It's got to be Serena Joy Waterford from the handmaid's tale. No one can be hated as much

CountFosco · 08/09/2020 06:44

@BaylisAndHardon a key part of centaur mythology is that they contain both human intellectual capacity and animal appetites. There are several myths where angry centaurs rape women. So while JKR doesn't explicitly say what happens when the centaurs carry Umbridge into the forest (what with it being a book for children) she doesn't need to either.

CherryValanc · 08/09/2020 07:07

Pagwatch

yes, negan
aided by every single person who vowed to kill him but didnt shoot him. stab him or hit him with big implements when given plenty of oppertunities to do so.

watched a couple of series shouting "just fucking shoot him" at least once an episode

Totally agree with this.

I gave up watching it because it was so fuckin irritating how he was never bumped off, especially the fight with Rick on the stairs. FFS my 77 year old mother could have tripped the fucker up and sent him on his way.

That was an annoyance of TWD that I couldn't get over. As you say, despite all the opportunities he didn't get killed.

It was like with The General, when they were living in that prison for 800 years and The General's crowd would turn up just to make their life difficult. We were lead to believe that sound attached walkers, only thing was it just seemed to be sound Rick's lot made, the could be outside the prison kick a leaf and 500 walkers turn up. The General's lot could bring along an armed marching band and not one walker showed up even when they were firing at the prison.

The writers always seemed to change things just so the 'baddies' wouldn't be disadvantage and thier storyline dragged out

But that is more a whole series than a character, so I won't gone on about it ... 😏

SusanneLinder · 08/09/2020 08:09

Everyone in Friends
Tess McGill in the movie Working Girl (her voice is like nails down a blackboard)
Baby from Dirty Dancing ( so wet and you should be in a corner)
Snow in Once Upon a Time
Kate in Line of Duty...if she says mate again my foot is going through my telly.

MissPinkCakeyBun · 08/09/2020 08:48

God Grin

Funkyslippers · 08/09/2020 08:59

Debra (Kate McKinnon) in Yesterday. Just didn't see the point of her character. The actress is really annoying anyway.

Obviously Emily in Friends but also Janine
