I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

Not really?

22 +12 is 34. Getting on for 35 if we add on the nine months. So ok, sure, she's probably not 35.

But, given Mrs B clearly worries Jane (and indeed Elizabeth) are already far over the hill, it seems to me perfectly likely she was long since married by the time she was their age. It is also made quite clear she was much more in Lydia's stage of life when she married, than theirs.

So I think she was probably about 16 when she got married and had Jane.

I doubt she is 45. Of course, she could have taken years TTC with Mr B, but it's not all that common to struggle for years and then have five pregnancies in quick succession. But assuming she married and started working on the Much-wanted Male Heir straight off, then she'd have been older than Jane when she married. I don't think that's likely.

@SarahAndQuack oh yes. I forgot about Thatcher. Just started rewatching for about the 6th time he is SO whiny and blames everyone else for his shortcomings.

Peter Pan. The original poster boy for every man-child. I hold him personally responsible for every git who is unable to wash their own clothes/cook/clean. Bastard.

Piggy in Lord of The Flies. You know the fruit will give you the squits, stop eating the bloody fruit!

Lol. But Wendy is worse, as she is the ultimate female stereotype, darning his socks and pandering to him in every way.

Definitely Carrie Bradshaw. Always in restaurants and she couldn't hold her knife and fork properly!

Except there's been quite extensive discussion of her already.

The youth of these days ... they never take the time to read a thread properly, do they?

I’m sure many like me did have a strong dislike for characters Ross Geller, Carrie Bradshaw (and most of their friends and partners) at the time but could suspend it to enjoy the shows. Helen Daniels I barely remember but ur so right whosever said that!

In the first two books Becky Bloomwood was quite endearing but the whole helpless and irresponsible bit began to get pretty tired.

Adrian moles mother, Pauline . Self centred and rather hopeless

Alicia John's from Enid blyton's Malory Towers. Way worse than Gwendoline Lacey and so many girls admired her!!!

Didn't mind Rose in Titanic generally but at the end when they on the door.and waiting for the lifeboat, I just wanna shout out "budge up! Stop hogging the door!"

Goldilocks.Angry Theiving, trespassing little vandal. I'm glad the bears eat her, it's all she deserves.

Yes to this! I love the Roald Dahl version of Goldilocks. He doesn't mince his words about her!

Becky Sharp.

Ashley Wilkes.

Count Vronsky.

The woman in Eat Pray Love isn’t fictional but she’s certainly annoying.

Why would anyone be too young to know about The Famous Five? You don’t only read books published after you were born.
