I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

OP posts:

Jill from Nighty Night!

MulticolourMophead · 07/09/2020 21:02

@WALKING2

Anastasia whatsherface in Fifty Shades of Grey - agree Bridget Jones Bella Swan reminds me of the 50 shades girl Most of the characters in soaps - hence I never watch them Although I don't watch any reality TV type 'stars'
I thought the main 2 characters in 50 Shades were originally meant to be Bella and Edward, that the book was originally intended to be Twilight fanfiction. Would explain why Anastacia is so similar to Bella.

Meanwhile, I don't think anyone has mentioned Pingu yet. God, I loathe that penguin. I just so grateful my DC are long past watching that.

Darkstarrheart · 07/09/2020 21:02

Noddy

Crystal87 · 07/09/2020 21:09

Carrie Bradshaw. Spoilt brat who needs to grow up and god knows how she had all those men after her.

goose1964 · 07/09/2020 21:13

Gatsby from the worst book ever aka the great gatsby

LikeTheFruit · 07/09/2020 21:16

The main character in The Catcher in the Rye. That book was unreadable.

Batsh1tcrazy · 07/09/2020 21:39

Hurts me even saying this because I genuinely like this actress.... But I have to say Stella (Gillian Anderson) from the fall.
Everytime she takes its a whisper! Bugs me

JanMeyer · 07/09/2020 21:51

Horatio from CSI: Miami. FFS. He went from over-enthusiastic, to taking himself far too seriously and then I think the director tried to imply he was autistic. Just wrong and offensive.

How did they try to imply he was autistic? I never got the "quirky, autistic detective" vibe from him. More the supremely annoying "knight in shining armour, i must save every woman in the world" vibe. Horatio is tolerable, admittedly in small doses. I can't stand Calleigh though, or Eric Delko. Was very pissed off when the latter popped up in Criminal Minds.

Darkbendis · 07/09/2020 21:53

Becky from the Shopaholic series.
Carrie Bradshaw - although I really liked the SATC series and I loved Samantha and Miranda
Clara from Dr Who
all the people who cannot keep their eyes on the road while driving in The Walking Dead
Dolores Umbridge
Bella from the Twilight series (and Edward as well, actually - not "my" kind of vampire)

EugenesAxe · 07/09/2020 21:53

Ha good one @onewish05! I bloody hate Norman. It’s the wailed “Cawwwwwl Saaaaaam!!!” Like there’s no one else in the frickin’ truck.

I agree with Harry Potter; found him intensely annoying from Book 5 on.

I didn’t read all 23 pages but I’ll nominate Mayor Goodway (?) and Chickaletta. Pretty much every episode I happen to see I’ll be saying “Kill her. Just kill her and eat her.”

In fact, Norman is the Chickaletta of Fireman Sam. If he sodded off there would be considerably fewer incidents.

fairlygoodmother · 07/09/2020 21:54

Mandy and Amy from the West Wing are annoying. But not nearly as annoying as Zoey. The worst character by miles. Charlie was wasted on her.

angelfacecuti75 · 07/09/2020 22:01

The woman from 50 shades of grey who is a) clearly having an identity crisis in more ways than one :
1.American but clearly wants to be English , drinks too much tea.

  1. Does not want to be dominated.
  2. Wants to be dominated.
  3. Gets far too many new clothes for my liking . Lucky birch .
I can't think of all the other things that annoyed me about this book apart from that I'm kind of a feminist , and it is quite badly written ... and decide who the character is ALREADY. Sorry , English literature major here. To add some irony , I've probably made some spelling mistakes here . Apart from the birch bit. That was deliberate.
angelfacecuti75 · 07/09/2020 22:03

Ps if anyone wants to give me any new clothes that would be great too. Not willing to trade for sexual favours though ...just skint ;)

FudgeBrownie2019 · 07/09/2020 22:05

Peppa Pig. Absolute knobhead. Always grassing up her friends, upsetting George and behaving like a beast.

Also, Stuart from The Thick Of It. DH once worked with a man exactly like him "yes and ho" and whenever we met I wanted to run over myself with his folding cycle so that I wouldn't have to sit through his "I'm a disruptor" bullshit.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 07/09/2020 22:10

Sara sidal in csi. No chemistry between her and grissom and we re supposed to believe theyre an item? Give over. And stop whining through your nose.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 07/09/2020 22:14

Ally McBeal used to annoy the crap out of me and dds.
Though I will admit that we used to watch it just so that we could enjoy a really good bitch about how utterly annoying she was.

KetoPenguin · 07/09/2020 22:25

I kind of like Buffy, but at the same time every character in it was a bit annoying weren't they.

Stella8686 · 07/09/2020 22:27

Sarah silvermans character in school of rock

Stella8686 · 07/09/2020 22:30

Eeore in Winnie the Pooh.

He's been recently hailed as suffering from depression and memes are made to show how nice all the others are to him...

If you read the book (which I was last night to my 7 y/o) he is actually just extremely sarcastic and rude!

There trying to help get you out of the stream, why are you being such a dick about it, go ahead and stay there then!

woodhill · 07/09/2020 22:33

@Darkbendis

Becky from the Shopaholic series. Carrie Bradshaw - although I really liked the SATC series and I loved Samantha and Miranda Clara from Dr Who all the people who cannot keep their eyes on the road while driving in The Walking Dead Dolores Umbridge Bella from the Twilight series (and Edward as well, actually - not "my" kind of vampire)
And all the other characters in Shopaholic- her mum, Suze and perfect Luke
PhilSwagielka · 07/09/2020 22:34

To whoever said Margot Maynard: she is a vile little hellbeast, but it's not really surprising when she's been pigeonholed as The Bad One from birth. If the Maynards were real, Margot would need a lot of therapy. I mean, her family keep going on about her devil and she gets castigated for being in a form with girls her own age and not older girls like her sisters.

This has been done to death on the CBB but one thing that really bugs me about the Swiss books is the Maynard Get Out of Jail Free card. Margot bullies and blackmails Theodora and she just gets a telling off and is ignored by her dad. Margot nearly kills another girl, but she just gets told off and the other girl is blamed for being tactless, even though she was just telling Margot to keep her voice down. Margot acts like a total thundercunt in a games class, bullies Evelyn and causes Evelyn to whack the ball so hard she injures Lesley's leg, and the younger girls are scared of her, but Miss Burnett just goes 'aww poor Margot such a hard row to hoe'. Someone on the CBB wrote a fix-it fic where Miss Wilmot demoted Margot and it was glorious. Thekla got expelled for less.

Peggy Bettany can fuck off too tbh. She's so boring and she has a stick up her arse and I hate how she punishes the Regency prank by ruining an entire weekend for the girls and the prefects too. It was just a bit of fun, hun, they weren't hurting anyone and your auntie Madge just laughed it off when Joey and friends did the same thing. Get over yourself.

I think that's what jars about the CS, because usually there's a real sense of right and wrong and bad guys always get punished. But because Margot is Joey's kid and Joey and Jack are perfect parents, she can act like a horrible little arsehole and never get into trouble for it because all she has to do is cry, and it seems really unfair when other characters get punished for less (like the girls who get bollocked for gasping when Verity refuses to sing). The fact Miss Annersley is BFFs with her mum doesn't help.

sogi · 07/09/2020 22:34

Definitely!
And Ally McBeal

FenellaVelour · 07/09/2020 22:35

@puffinkoala

Amy Pond from Dr Who can be added too. The SHOUTING. The ONE NOTE ACTING

Clara was even worse.

I never got as far as watching Clara, as I stopped watching in the Amy Pond days. Sad times.

Thought of another one, Rick from Rick and Morty. The belching turns my stomach. Didn’t find it funny either.

DustyLoafer · 07/09/2020 22:47

@Pagwatch

yes, negan. aided by every single person who vowed to kill him but didnt shoot him. stab him or hit him with big implements when given plenty of oppertunities to do so.

watched a couple of series shouting "just fucking shoot him" at least once an episode

Totally agree with this.

I gave up watching it because it was so fuckin irritating how he was never bumped off, especially the fight with Rick on the stairs. FFS my 77 year old mother could have tripped the fucker up and sent him on his way.

Commonwasher · 07/09/2020 22:49

Another vote for the becky Bloomfield character in the shopaholic books.
